They almost always had personality in their trailers, it's just that none of them was ever as brutal as Grendel, or as energetic as Gauss. Valkyr is probably the best example of one of the oldest Prime trailers where the frame had all the proper personality.

Warframe aren’t exactly robots. Warframe are actually flesh inside however due to the helminth and how the infestation changed them it made them different and have metal. They look like suits but trust me they were once human faced with agony.

Flesh no more, but yes they used to be flesh and bone before the helminth repurposed the organic matter and mixed it with metal/polymers/technocyte biomass/eidolon pieces (rev)/functional sentients (caliban)/another type of infestation (nidus) etc, they are still twisted pieces of the original person somewhere inside, the operator only stabilizes the mind, but they still think they are self aware, thats why the stalker had an identity crisis, he’s still a tenno who thought he was a warframe

@@TubbyFatfrick most of the older frames also had cybernetic augments implanted after the infestation process, and of course the orokin prettied up the outer shells to not be so...tumorous. So warframes are space ninja zombie cyborgs that just look like robots. Skin made of swordsteel line still goes hard 🤘

A cocktease indeed, but I've come to realize F-ZERO 99 definitely got a lot of people well beyond the niche fandom interested in the IP. Not to mention it actually feels a bit more like the GBA games than the original. Hopefully this game will stay popular for a while, and it could spark a proper follow-up to F-ZERO GX. Maybe developed by a Western studio too, since I think F-ZERO's niche fandom is a lot greater outside Japan. And if not, there's projects like Aero GPX at least.
