To be fair I saw at the end that the blade was cutting a bit of the weeds on the front by maybe an inch between the fourks. I maybe would have put the blade forward by another 2 inch to really cut more what is entering the front teeth then having to push forward against those branches and week. Just a suggestion.

In many videos, I can see the weld penetrate because the video is from the back side. There is a brief orange glow in the shape of a small dot, which I think may indicate a solid weld.

Being from America and spending my youth working at a lawnmower repair shop I can truly say the machines you have down there are wimpy compared to ours. The small mowers we have are more like the brush mower you made and we go up in size

Your mower blade has a hole in the center, through which the shaft passes. If the blade hits something heavy, the shaft gets bent. The key to a brush hog's ability to cut large trunks is 1) much slower RPM's, 2) much heavier blades, and 3) the blades' ability to swivel because they are not attached to directly to the shaft -- they are attached to the stump guard disk, which enables the blades to swing when they hit heavy trunks, without damaging the mower.

DIY LOLOLO, c'mon no one has this machinery at home. Do not waste our time and change your title. Okay, we are excited for you, having a small machine shop in your garage. Any one who is interested in modifying your lawn mower there are many videos on youtube and you don't need a machine shop to do it.

I had a simular idea but it would be a large table saw blade so it can take down 3" dia trees and drop down or up. You can't set the height on the but you can use a mower blade, string trimmer or chain saw disk or table saw blade This also doesn't have a discharge.

$20 mower + weeks of labor + $10k in tools and supplies and you too could make the equivalent of a brush cutter worth $100.

Thanks for making this very educational video. I'm a woman (real...ovaries, uterus, etc :)), I was fascinated by your video because you are detailed and super clean and professional, you did not neglect a single detail. I have a John Deere E130, what type of winch can I put on that model? Thanks for your help.

Lightweight is good and what did I use it for it’s a lawnmower kzfaq.infoUgkxTPN04aT-Qdjr_KS3ql7ng8wnU3wwsCqk also recommend Yes it is lightweight so hence not as robust as our old one. But if you take care it does the job really well.

Start with an older Toro GTS (THIS STANDS FOR GURANTEED TO START ) 3 speed mower. Leave the right front wheel but expose 2 inches of the deck all the way around to 10 o'clock. Reinstall the left front wheel at 9 o'clock. / I have made 20 or more of these in the last 10 years. And I nickname this the death machine. / I have had to install some mesh from a screen door On the top of the mower to keep the debris from getting down inside the top of the mower. on one of my trips driving home. The top of my mower looks like an Indian smoke signal. / But before installing the screen on top of the mower, I accidentally melted one of my coil wires.

@@scottmurray2961 Great - thanks! Looking at a photo, I'm wondering the reason for putting the left front wheel back in the 9 o'clock position (from rear point of view / front of mower 12 o'clock). Does that have something to do with throwing out the debris?

@Shaken_AND_Stirred
@Shaken_AND_Stirred Жыл бұрын
@@franklingrebbo Thank you for the response. Your bike looks great, especially with that air bladder/shock on it to lower it. Your Slim must be an earlier model to have come with a standard 140 rear tire on it. Mine is a 2019 and they now come with a standard 150. The only problem with using the standard rim on a wider tire, is that the stock rim will tend to pull the edges of the tire inward and not allow it to flare out as wide as it normally would be with the proper rim. Your’s still looks great though. It did make a difference. I’m debating to add a 200 rear tire on mine. The newer Slims do not require a new swing arm/belt modification for anything up to a 200 tire. That size tire does require a 17 x 6.5” rim though, and a new fender as well. Your Slim really looks good. You did a great job on it. Thanks for sharing.
