Great!But the cz shadow 2 9 x 21 it's ok for weight in the idpa ?I'm italian novice.Now i have only 1 Beretta px4.But within a year i would buy.Thanks for the attention. And forza Juve!

I used to participate in IDPA and always had a great time but had to stop due to scheduling conflicts. I would like to begin again but have found out that my CZ does not fit into any division due to its dimensions/weight (not safety issues). It is not a race gun and I don't see how it gives me any distinct advantages (other than not looking like a heavy duty stapler)... RIP the dream

I was told that my steel frame P-01 would not fit in box and/or be too heavy. Should I just go to a local match and see if they approve it? It's been a while and seems like things have changed a lot (like the 5x5 classifier?!?)

Yes, for sure you should be fine for local matches. I just looked up all the CZ Steel P 01's and even the extended 75B is within limits that I can see.

Been shooting some local matches for some time, interested in shooting a sanctioned match, question about my gun, it is a 45acp, with a grip that has been stippled and the guide rod is a solid guide rod, how does that affect my equipment check?

carstensxdm45, your 45 is more than likely being shot in CDP Custom Defense which is like Enhanced Service Pistol. Stiple to your hearts content! Your legal!

I have a question. When you went past the window with an unloaded gun on the way to the dark room why was that not a procedural?

Excellent question and great catch. The reason I did not receive a procedural was that I had finished my reload prior to the next window except the slide did not close all the way due to a reload malfunction. (Stove Pipe), what you saw was my clearing that.

Looks like fun, but a few observations on my part. I know of no one who carries such a large pistol, please a glock 34 is a competition gun, and the rule about cover, i have never seen people in public wearing a shooting vest. I thought this was going to be learning what to do with your conceal carry.

I noticed on a lot of those that are supposed to be shot in 'tactical order" you shot each one 2 times instead of 1 each then back again... I"m confused.

Tactical order is closest to farthest, while tactical sequence is the 1-1-2-1-1 that you are thinking of.

I shoot in NC. What part of the state are ya in? There are monthly matches in Boone and Wilkesboro, NC that we attend in this neck of the woods. Very friendly to new shooters.

Yes, this is a Mike Cusanelli Custom 2011. STI Eagle 5.0 frame, but custom everything else. 40 Cal. Tuned and modified to shoot nothing but zero downs. All I have to do is point in the general direction and touch the trigger, it does the rest :)

If he's in ESP its probably a 9mm 1911 and they can hold 10.

Gotcha. I'd heard that they made 10 rd 1911s in .45, but I'd never known if they were any good.

undeadhunter5 If you're talking about double stack (vs traditional single stack) then there are several manufactures that make 'hi-capacity' 1911s (Para Ord 14.25 for example, STI for the higher end competition guns). Regular 'single stack' 9mm 1911s can hold 10 though. This from what I've seen in this video it's probably one of the higher end STI type 1911s. They'll make them all the major calibers for you (.45, .40, 9mm, 38 super), but since this is IDPA ESP he gets no benefit from shooting a bigger caliber like (.40) and if he was shooting a .45 he'd be in the CDP class. And so I assume a 9mm. ;)
