The little kid needs to be viewed through the lens of Frank Miller, where its classic dystopia and something we've seen a dozen times in mature comic stories. It works here, and is hardly the point of the movie as he's dead by the start of Act III anyway. Robo 2 didn't have the heart of the original, but it absolutely nailed the satirical black humor of greed gone amuck. It has several laugh-out-loud moments.

23:54 Courageous for what exactly? Walking towards some African people? She had interesting positions on Africa, she ensured the end of Rhodesia, a white ruled country in Africa. However she supported South Africa not just by refusing an embargo but she genuinely believed that South Africa should remain a white ruled country, you can see it in the documents. Although looking at South Africa now i don’t think her belief is particularly wrong however immoral it is seen as today.

The “biggest mistake” was the writing. In the wrong hands, the first and second films would’ve played like bad soap operas. The third film did exactly that. The irony is they all came from the same hands.

Thanks for uploading - very interesting. Infuriating to a large degree to hear Haughey going on about "standards of propriety, especially for Ministers"..given what we know about him now. For the latter end of his political career he was literally being bankrolled week to week by rich businessmen and associates. What in a broader sense is more infuriating is that Haughey could have been our best ever leader, he had the inteligence, the vision, experience and the toughness. He chose at some point to go down the route of his lifestyle and corruption - while at the same time being a very effective politician. Gary Murphy's biography of him, while a tad soft given it was written with family approval, is a good read and makes one wonder what he could have done.

Aliens is of my favorite movies of all time, but it's one of those movies where the theatrical cut is IMHO the better, more suspenseful version. The longer director's cut is still awesome but only after seeing the theatrical cut first.
