Love the Mistborn trilogy, its the series that got me started in reading fantasy. Mostly though I'm so happy to see you put "The Rage of Dragons" on this list. When I first read this book it was new and didn't have many reviews. I figured i'd give it a try and if it sucks i'll shelve it and read something else. Nope, it was awesome! I had so much fun reading it that when i finished it all I could think was I wanted to contact this new author and make sure he keeps writing!

I absolutely loved The Rage of Dragons! I’m dying that the 3rd book is taking so long. I haven’t heard anything suggesting an expected release date.

I want to recommend the journey by Conrad Jones. I don't remember what inspired me to read it but it was eye opening, heart wrenching and at times scary. I have been unable to read the other 2 in the series as this book affected me soooo much. Be warned there really isn't a hea. It isn't a book I would usually pick up, but am glad I read it. There were a few times I had to put it down....but also I had to finish it. I have never been so moved by a book before and not sure I will be again. If you do try it let me know how it was for you.

I'm glad your video popped up in my feed! I love The Fifth Season and just finished The Way of Kings in March. There were some books in your list that I'd never heard of that I've added to my TBR. Idk about a top 10 for me but my fave books I've read so far in 2024 include The Way of Kings (obviously), Kindred by Octavia Butler, and Ancillary Justice by Ann Leckie. Since you like sci-fi, I'd be curious to hear your thoughts on Ancillary Justice. It's super unique, just unlike anything I've ever read and def a series I want to continue with.

Look at the other fantasy series made that flopped ex wheel of time is not good. GAME of THRONES is a good tv show cause there is barely any magic! First law would be as good as well.

1:14 ready player one was really good movie! BUT I never read the book, so, I have a different experience of it. Probably would have the same experience as you if I read the book. BTW honest opinion. What do you think about Sun eater series in general? Should I read Hyperion and dune before those books or you think I would have better experience if I read Sun eater first? If yes would it destroy my experience to read dune and Hyperion after?

The two book little known by Guy Johnson is STANDING AT THE SCRATCH LINE & ECHOES OF A DISTANT SUMMER . Little known but captivating reads. The author is the son of Maya Angelou. Both are deceased, but anyone who has read loved both books. Story of two families like the Hatfields and the McCoys in Black. Excellent!!! Try them.

I hadn’t read a fantasy book since i was a kid reading Harry Potter. Then because of your tiktok about sword of Kaigen i randomly decided to read it. ABSOLUTELY loved it. I Don’t know how to explain to my wife that i feel like this book impacted me without sounding like a weirdo. 😂

Rage was crazy good. Sanderson is probably my 3rd or 4th fav. MIstborn series was a great read .a solid list.

How are you able to read so fast? Lol. It took me a month to get through the first half of A Storm of Swords.
