I just got my dab blaze as well, but I thought you didn’t have to turn it over that the bottom element would be cooking at the same time the top was?

how about the silicon baskets you place food on, can you wash in dishwasher instead? and does material you use matter in taste?

Was the parchment paper & silicone liner sitting on top of their individual detachable crisper plates or were they just placed on the bottom of their buckets?🤔

Totally ! But why boil in hot water for 6 min if one can do it in 17 min, in a device which uses 7 Times more energy and is nearly 100 more expensive.

Unless you're cooking something like cheese, there's really no reason to use either of them. The main purpose of an air fryer is to use less fat, so having something that keeps your food in contact with excessive fat doesn't make much sense.

Does grease splatter onto either of the two heating elements? Or are they somehow protected from splatter?
@airfryingfoodie
@airfryingfoodie 27 күн бұрын
@Codger2015 They aren't protected, but the grease doesn't splatter that much. And I wipe down the inside after it cools off when I cook something like this or bacon. Just so there isn't grease build up. 😁

Looks good! Do you have a recommended cook time for medium or medium-rare?
@airfryingfoodie
@airfryingfoodie Ай бұрын
Hey there! 16 minutes in the Cosori Dual Blaze was a medium-well steak at 155 degrees F with a digital meat thermometer. I would definitely cut the time. Because air fryers all cook differently, I would use the digital thermometer to make sure I was spot on for the doneness of the meat. For instance, an internal temp of 135 F is going to be medium rare, and an internal temp of 145 F is going to be medium. Hope this helps! - Jen

Hmm... I thought this would show if they cooked differently. Such as the silicone has holes, but the parchment paper does not (preventing air flow). Are we to presume they cooked exactly the same? Therefore, the only difference is in the clean up?
@airfryingfoodie
@airfryingfoodie Ай бұрын
Actually, that's a GREAT question! With the parchment paper and silicone, they cook the same, but in my experience the burgers cooked on silicone are a little crispier on the outside, which I love. Makes the texture remind me more of a grilled texture. Hopefully that made sense? - Jen

Actually at :09 the parchment does have holes. I just ordered parchment without holes….is no holes going to matter as to air circulation? Thanks
@airfryingfoodie
@airfryingfoodie 27 күн бұрын
@WaltDittrich They did cook the same. It was just cleaning up the basket a little bit and tossing parchment paper or cleaning up silicone liner.
