I use the Resmed 11 with the Airfit F30 mask. Sometimes I wake up with a really parched mouth. Any thoughts why?

Question. With a CPAP can you still snore. Is your events per hour the important stat even if you do still snore? Thank you very much!

The other thing (besides a CPAP machine) that gave me new life was getting my deviated septum fixed so I could actually uptake/intake oxytocin (which is what the Requirement is for vasodilation in the entire body.)

Thank you for this informative video. I just started on CPAP. Used it twice. I have a nasal pillow. The pressure is too high I think. I’m not liking it at all. I’m going to try the full face mask. My sinuses are very sore. I’m finding it very hard to adjust.

Been using my full face mask and machine for 3 weeks now, and the machine seems to be doing it's job when I'm asleep. Unfortunately, I've suffered from insomnia for many years, and so far the machine therapy has done nothing for that condition. So I get a read out of .7 episodes per hour which is great, but I'm sleeping maybe one to two hours only per night. Insomnia and apnea is a terrible combo.

I was given a mask and TBH i dont use it , the main reasons it gets tangled up as im a bit of a mover when trying to sleep and i end up ripping it off in a bad mood .the other reason is it irritated my face and the pressure does not feel right .The guy who came out to fit it kept saying he was not a doctor just a fitting technician, which did not exactly fill me with confidence ,,,so alas it is under the bed gathering dust and i dont get any descent sleep at all ,im miserable, snappy brain fogged out to the last and feel i fell through a big hole in the health service net ,,,zzzzzzzzzzzz all the time ,but not getting better

My only complaint is he attaches purchasing a used machine to someone who hasn't gone in for the study. Up here in Maine, many machines are sold to others who've had the study, but can't afford the new machine! While I got mine years ago, my husband needs one now and we can't afford a new machine. Used, it is! Saved us a bunch of money, Amazon sales on masks, tubing and filters, we are good to go.

CPAP is just a band-aid or splint. You still have cortical awakening except the CPAP (if correctly calibrated and if your mask is tight) will direct more pressure to prevent deeper desaturation. Finding out what is causing the restrictions and obstructions is key. A drug induced sleep endoscopy of CT scan will show them. Sleep DOCs don't want to do this because they want you as a patient for life .

C pap machines are a scam. If they are so great, why are truck drivers the only ones that have to use them? What about police, who carry guns, or doctors who operate on people? It's all a big money grab!!

When I lived in Austin, I would get ceder fever. So any sinus blockage had me takind a cold-ease and staying inside, where the air was well filtered. In LA, I walked down a street that was lined on both sides with ceder. Never again. When covid was the threat, I kept myself well zinced. Now, with my CPAP, I continue to keep myself zinced. My nasal passages stay clear. Getting stopped up means that the filter needs to be cleaned.

When you can only see a doctor for 10 minutes every few months, thank god for "Doctor Google" and KZfaq! It literally took me years (and realizing the deaths of two friends were caused by untreated apnea) just to get a doctor to pay attention to me. Then there was insurance that insisted I be overweight to qualify. Anyway, how long does it take to stop hating everybody? !! lol.

Thanks so much for your advice! Last night was my first night using the cpap machine. I was so tired for a couple yrs. I could not even stay awake during the day all I did was nap. And still never felt rested. I know this will help. I want to be who I used to be! Fun lively, enjoy going out- walking and being with friends. I had become an old woman who had no energy at all. Barely made it thru the days at work and every eve just snatched tv and napped- weekends/ more napping. Still tired! So thankful for this video and all the info available. 🙏

My situation was the same. I had apnea and I have been exhausted and way too tired for years and years. Longest, hardest, unknown( before diagnosis] situation in my life. I have no idea but by the Grace of God how managed to hold my head above water and function everyday. Struggled with Severe depression for years and even spent 3 or 4 years of my life in my bed sleeping ( so i thought). I was thinking of taking my life from time to time, I could not think straight, remember things, didn't make sense when I talked and irritated my family, co workers and friends. At times wondering if I was loosing my mind? Was it me? I told my Dr. for several years "I'm sooo tired" Got to the point I could not drive my car. I started to run off the road and couldn't stay awake. Was put on stimulate medication to function. My Dr. contemplated Narcolepsy. After several years finally suggested I try a sleep study which I did but the results were questionable ( accordi g to my Dr.) not fully explained to me, I just thought well ill loose some weight and call it good. Which is did but still could barely drive. Still struggled socially and mentally. Was referred to a Pulmonologist had another study and there it was. I stopped breathing 17 times a hour or something and my oxygen would drop to 76. Weeks later got my machine with Dr. Notes confirming my diagnosis and suggesting I take stimulate to adjust and recover. My job 2nd part time weekend job let me go because I decided to take a few days off to try and work with the machine and get sleep. It was not a overnight fix. My boss wpuld.notmexcept my Dr. Notes saying my Dr.s "suggested" didn't order me to miss work. Loved my job and cared deeply for the residents I took care of. All along wondering how does a person take care of everyone and take on 10-16 hour shifts aside from a weekly full time job without taking g care of themselves? I was literally dying slowly at the brink of a mental breakdown. It's sad to me they could not understand to what extent "sleep apnea" affected just about every angle of my life. Ibhave been on Cpap for a couple months now. Still not 100 percent acclimated. I still only sleepn 3-6 hours a night. I will get there and I now see the light at the end. It took years and years from my quality of life. Hopefully my short story can help people learn and understand what even I didn't know for years. I didn't know any of this and was always under the impression sleep apnea, was something simple. I did not know it was a sneaky slow death. I can relate to this video and brings me comfort knowing I'm not and never was alone. GOD Bless

As true with myself, most Americans are deficient in B vitamins, especially thiamine (B-1). The usual medical testing will never show a deficiency. I recommend Micronutrient testing through Spectra Labs, which explained why I've had high blood pressure for decades. Also, check out Dr. Eric Berg's YT videos on sleep apnea where he discusses thiamine (B-1) deficiency. I am doing well on my APAP having started a wonderful Tikva Heart delicious powder containing all these important vitamins for the heart. Along these same lines, heart problems killing people called AFIB (Atrial Fibrlillation) I'm told sleep apnea people get AFIB all the time. Check out AFIB and magnesium deficiency on KZfaq. The drug co's seem to hate magnesium because it cures the heart. Magnesium is on the crash cart in the ICU because it saves patients from dying from heart attacks, but doctors are not allowed to prescribe it. Tikva contains 300 mg of magnesium, might be enough. Check out Dr. Ahmet Ergin's (endocrinologist) videos on magnesium on YT and read the comments how people are curing their AFIB with I think 500 mg per day of magnesium.

Oh my gosh!! I loved this presentation!! I just had my sleep study at the hospital because I became a heart patient in Feb of this year. The bed was awful! I felt like Darth Vadar too!! I was more exhausted at 5a when I was sent home then when I went to sleep the night before. I'm so darn excited to start with my CPAP ... I am getting the nasal mask. I am so tired of being tired and taking 2 naps a day.Thank you thank you. I so related to everything you talked about!! ❤❤❤ 3:35

This is good information. In my personal case I found that I had apnea after falling asleep and having a bad traffic accident. At least nobody got injured. But when I talked to my doctor I had the sleep test at home an I came with 97 apnea events per hour. I have been using it for over two years and it had been a blessing. About the attachments for your machine don’t rely on the insurance prices out of pocket. In my case every time they gave filters for the machine I had to pay $10.00 copay for two filters. I actually found the filters on Amazon and for $20.00 I get 160 filters.

I have this thing when every few months I wake up (since 2018) and I gasp for air. I feel like my nose is being pinched whilst I am asleep. It's horrible. I don't snore...unless I have a bad cold. A doctor once told me they thought I had sleep apnea but no further tests were done. Does anybody please know what this is? My nose is not blocked but my nostrils are tightened and I wake up taking in a deep gasp. Like I forgot to breathe. Is there any evidence that this can also be linked like cot death (research conducted ten years ago) to too much serotonin in the brain? (I don't know if I have too much serotonin and I don't want to go back to a GP ever again ideally but I wanted to know so I can see if I can manage it myself. re: Reduce the levels with the correct diet and a qualified herbal medicine practioner.)

I hate the hoses . I wanted to throw them out of the window in the morning. I'm skinny so I started to patch up my mouth. and try to quit the mouth breathing . It works. I will keep trying to have a good morning sleep without the Cpap machines. I think they're too expensive too. Even if It's inexpensive I'd never buy it. .Cpap machines suck.

Thank you for this video. I'm in the process of waiting to receive my cpap. My Dr said I needed a VSA machine due to my severity. However I just wanted to comment and hopefully it's not just me, but I've waited so long to take care of this that I'm having speech problems. I fall asleep at anytime I'm sitting still. I was waiting to have a miracle happen the first night. Thank you for letting me know it takes time.
