I'm a painter living in S. Williamsburg so I can relate to him. He's right about the space making his work possible. I can only make small paintings working out of a tiny room I rent (and can hardly afford even while working full-time). All I want to do is paint / sculpt but 2024 is a different reality.

I would LOVE any kind of studio! As a brand new artist, sales and a studio would be my dream. And maybe more talent. LOL

I LOVE this series. I'm living in Santa Fe now for the art. My only life regret is not being in NYC during the 50's for the art....but then I was born in 1952.

Fabulous video. Great interview. I appreciate the story, the art, the peek into his world. His art is fantastic! He should be able to afford heat. Housing is a struggle for everyone everywhere in the US right now. Except for the rich, who eat and eat and eat. It's a crazy world we're living in.

I had a friend who lived in a big loft in an old noodle factory in Williamsburg. When I asked him what it was like in winter, he said it was freezing and impossible to heat. So, there are always sacrifices and two sides to every coin. But I love those big windows.

The privilege of painting every day does seem too good to be true. I was asked where I was going on vacation this year. I'm not going anywhere. I'm painting. That's the best vacation I can possibly imagine.

What a awesome skill you have for interviewing awesome people! Also commend you for your detail to video angles, the lightning, shades, the thought of where to taking the pictures and where the artist sits, and overall composition and story telling. Thank you for helping the world becoming a more beautiful place by sharing your great art. We look forward to see your next interview 👏🏼 all the best to you friend! 👐🏼

Luv luv luv these artists' studio/LW spaces!!! I'm in my 60s and want to move to NY so badly. I LOVE NYC, especially Brooklyn. Next to a full brownstone building in Brooklyn, I'd love to be able to have one of these NY Artists Lofts. Older artist dude, bequeath your space to me PPPPLLLLLEEEEEEEZZZZZEEE!!! LOL! No, seriously... 😏😬
