There are 16 producers, of various specific producer titles. Watching the first episode credits was infuriating, it took way too long to learn amandala Stenberg’s name. I can’t imagine that many producers is normal unless it’s a tv show thing

Love you guys but I fully disagree on the sentiment of them catering to women and minorities. Look at the transition of star wars and marvel recently ... look at the revenue ... it's not a pattern you can ignore. As a white straight male, it always feel SO shoehorned in. The Marvels, Birds of Prey, All amazing Rey in SW, all so bland, so boring. When black widow first appeared in Avengers, she was a legit character with her own motive and genuinely interesting. These days it's white male bashing to appeal to the minimal audience. It's tiring and I just don't watch it (and clearly many others don't either). If you enjoy it then that's fine but I don't enjoy the poor writing, bad development and overly pushed motives from Disney. Maybe if the characters actually had someone coherent and genuinely interesting motives like they once did, I'd be all for it but like Wonder Woman 2 ... men bad. I'm not going to watch that shite.

Disney needs to fire writing room and their marketing team. They can't even manage to publish good fan-fiction, let alone compelling television. No one would give two shits about representation if the story was good. They write the story so terribly that their buddies in Marketing can run with it, and point to the vocally disgusted segments audience, blaming them. Then they sit on the panderer's throne (the Mainstream media) and proceed to brow beat us with a narrative of vitriolic oppression towards minority groups. Never hire activists to create something. They'll build a ruin and then blame you for judging them.

i don't think the writing in this suffers from wokeness. it's faults lie elsewhere. but i do find it hilarious that the only 3 white guys are, a criminal, a mad man, and a jedi to busy lamenting over past sins to act on the future.

Dune done raised up the bar a lil bit on what defines good fiction. They could have went the way of Andor and made it more serious and higher stakes. This two episode plot line are based on a rogue force user assassin with a manipulated need for payback. Seems almost predictable. I've definitely seem this tired plot in many different iterations before. Definitely feels low stakes.

Gimp sith should have looked and sounded better. This show exists that’s the most praise they can get. So far the Acolyte seems to be missing from the show. It’s a beautiful looking, dull, kid show marketed as Kill fucking Bill. Trinity being killed in hand to hand combat by being distracted was chef’s kiss level comedy. When they reveal their “thriller” part of it and it’s like oh the villain is actually the emperor’s cousin Kevin Palpatine I will just be on cloud 9. Ep2 was better but still it’s like they had a concept for a 15 minute video then somehow got millions and brand license. Hopefully it gets better because I need the Sith or dark side to exist outside of Vader and Palps

Alex is 100% wrong. Disney absolutely puts ideology before business decisions. You can tell because they have been hemorrhaging money on a franchise that was basically a money printer before 15 years ago. Turning a franchise for mostly boys and men into a female franchise isn't a sound business decision if in the process you destroy what appealed to men.
