Can anyone chime in on how these hold up in New England winters? Im looking into getting one, seems very well maintained from the outside, just not sure what 14 years in Maine would do to it

Yeah! More so my question is, a car that's already spent 14 years in New England winters, do things like subframes and other key structural components easily rust out like on some other cars ?

@aaronkudatsky8940 I have seen some crazy situations of rust but not really often. Volvos usually hold up to road salt and such pretty well!

I love this review. Very unique! I only drive Volvos and have owned many including a 2009 XC90 V8 and a 2009 S80 V8 (both purchased new on the same day) and we currently have a 2023 XC90 T8. The XC90 V8 and the S80 V8 both were platinums with executive package and the S80 had tech package w/ adaptive cruise control. They were phenomenal vehicles. Our current lineup is a 2023 XC90 T8 AWD Ultimate w/ Air & B&W, a 2013 C70 Platinum w/ Inscription pkg and a 2008 C30 2.0 custom order with every option but leather. My wife loves the 2023 T8 XC90 but I miss the comfort and the torque of our old 2009 XC90 V8. We had a 2018 XC90 T6 R-Design loaded to the max w/ p* and that was actually fun to drive. However, the 2023XC90 w/ google and the reengineered T6 powertrain was absolutely dull and boring. So we went with the T8. Its okay but I miss the R-Design spec. and believe the Volvo is moving toward a very boring future. I absolutely wouldn't replace the head unit because you will loose the Dynaudio customizations. Who needs CarPlay when you have the most customizable audio system ever factory fitted to a vehicle with integrated Dolby Digital surround w/ front AND rear equalizers? Its sad that the $3,200 B&W option in a post 2022 Volvo has removed any type of equalizer and balance/fader option. P.S. Please remove the Subaru badges and get a Volvo high mileage badge. The Subaru badges are for Volvo wannabees. You got the real deal here.

I have an '03 4Runner Limited that I bought with 295,000 miles on it. I had a 2013 GX460 that got destroyed by an Albanian idiot in an accident - that to date has been my favorite car. I currently operate and drive a 2015 4Runner Limited 4x4 which I thoroughly enjoy every time I'm behind the wheel, which isn't all that much since working from home. Would love to have an LX 470, another GX 460, and an LX 570 all at the same time one day.

Upgraded the brakes and rotors (had to upsize to 17" wheels & tires) to 2017 4runner components, Bilstein 6112 5160 shocks and struts (factory height) and Hellwig FATTY sway bars front and rear. It's a UZJ100 Land Cruiser built in Japan at their Araco (Later Toyota Auto Body) Yoshiwara plant, the flagship vehicle in the line-up built at their finest facility. I've owned a variety of different Toyota 4x4 trucks and SUV's (10). My 2000 UZJ100 Land Cruiser was the finest of them all. I wish I still had that one for sure. @@BernonCars I agree with everything you had to say about the car. Mine was purchased second hand as a winter car. Drove it 6 years. It had 230,000 kms when I sold it. We needed something smaller and more fuel efficient for city driving - replaced it with a Prius C. Not as comfy, powerful, luxurious or smooth as the Av … but it’s crazily fuel efficient and better suited to our current needs.

Nice video and that LX470 is in great shape. My friend has those same Goodyear tires on his truck and they are very noisy, and certainly not any good for driving back roads. To find the radio code, open the glove box and you'll see a sticker with a bunch of numbers on it. You might find luck punching in those numbers and seeing if you can get the radio to work again. The sticker might be on the side of the glove box that's facing outward towards the driver. So at least on mine it was on the left side of the glove box, but on the outside not the inside of the glove box.
