My Father went straight from Borneo to Japan. They were told they would be discharged earlier if they volunteering to join BCOF than if they didn’t. Yet another lie by the government at the time. He would never speak about his time there beyond saying how awful it was to see the children burnt. I believe his time there and the treatment they received on their return changed him and not for the better.

Robert Walls team copped an absolute belting from Fremantle in Rd 9 at Subiaco twice in consecutive seasons the first was in this 95’ season when he was coach of Brisbane the second 12 months later when he was coaching Richmond in 96’ yet the John Northey coached teams both beat Freo at Subiaco in those two seasons Richmond beat Freo a few weeks after this match in 95’ and Brisbane beat Freo at Subiaco in Rd 6 96’ Northey was clearly a better coach than Walls.

An interesting film and an interesting compassion between the method of acting and scripting and diction compared to the today's methods of acting. Rats Of Tobruk Little did the Germans realize their score and ridicule would come back to bit them. These tough and steadfast Australian heroes would wear the team with honor not that any out of modesty would have called or thought of themselves themselves as heroes but merely mates fighting along side and supporting each other each, merely doing there duty in the protection king and country and down under. All thanks and accolades to there memory service and sacrifice.

The more that I read about MacArthur the more I understand what a psychopath he was. My father was lucky to survive serving under his command dying the war in the Pacific.

It’s kinda crazy how we don’t learn about the other countries that were alongside with us in wars. I think the most we learned about other countries was just on a single prominent person from that country that that Prussian who helped shape our early army and French. Nothing mentioned about other countries in Korea and Vietnam also the Middle East.

Possibly a good film for it's day.

All in the best traditions of the British Army, upon which their organisations and regiments were modelled.
