I remember watching those specials, he had one in 2006 as well, and thinking he’s really funny and he’ll probably be a big star comedian one day. I found this video today searching for Caparulo as I hadn’t seen him in a long time in my feed and wow, how he has fallen. He’s gained an easy 100lbs and has no neck, has a podcast no one watched with like 100 and some views, hasn’t had a special since 2013. I don’t know exactly what happened but maybe he got blackballed to an extent because of his attitude. Or maybe it’s cause he just isn’t really funny anymore. I watched some clips from his recent spots on his channel and I’ll just say I don’t find him funny anymore. Oh I also remember him on Chelsea lately.

Carlos Mencia may have been on TV but so was Kevin James. Neither man or his show was funny. Cap may be a little guy when it comes to exposure, but his comedy slaps way harder than Mancia, who Joe Rogan himself accused of plagiarizing, and who was named worst comic of all time in 2006 (the year this bitterly told story happened). Where is John Caparulo hasn’t garnered half the controversy. Say what you will about why he hasn’t, that he’s not as popular or whatever. But he’s still a better comedian than Carlos Mencia will ever be hands-down. And as far as the story goes, there are two sides to every story. And with the bitterness and the cursing radiating off of this man, I’m not exactly inclined to blindly stick to his account either. But I will say this, any self-respecting comic, who genuinely believes Carlos Mencia is funnier than John Caparulo it’s not someone who’s opinion I value that much.

Joey wasnt saying Mencia was necessarily funnier than Cap but at that time Mencia was the bigger comedian and thats why he could bump other comics. Also. the cursing is normal for Joey. Its how he talks it doesnt mean hes bitter.
