A true keeper! His ability on the guitar was masterful. He probably wrapped up 3-4 semesters or more of study into 46 minutes. Wish I'd run into this recording years ago. I got to see him live a couple of different times. Will always treasure it. Thank you for sharing.

Read yet another article about how this movie is overrated... had to come back to this scene to remind myself just how wrong that article truly was...

Watching this years later how contrive this scene feels. There is enough time for them to have an exchange and the explosion happen similar to an action movie as they run away

Very complex film. Racist cop sexually assaulted her then rescues her. So called moral cop shoots and kills black lad.

What memories!!!! In 80's those tutorial-lessons were only a mirage from Italy, only few lucky and wealty people brought them back from travels.

People miss the whole point to this scene. The cop didn't redeem himself, or "see the light". He was still a racist who committed sexual battery (why the girl still shook her head at him after). But at this moment in his life, he didn't see color, he saw a person that needed his help.

Yes this movie has a lot of problems and there's even elements of the white savior in this specific scene (mostly if you watch it out of context) but in terms of acting, pacing, editing, and music this is one of the most amazing individual scenes in cinema. I tear up every time I watch it.

What I liked about the movie was it showed the racism in everyone not just pointing at white people all the time! Every race has someone that blames their problems on someone else! This movie was well put together with three of my favorite male actors, Matt Dillon, Don Cheadle and Larenz Tate!
