I blow a ton of money on broadheads every year just playing around. I bought 3 sets of heads off you in Harrisburg this year. Shot 150xls today and they shot awesome. Was about 2" from field point at 40 (probably my tune). I barely bumped the rest over and they came right together. Shot through paper, still bullet holes. Seems like an excellent head. Out of the 7 new heads I shot this year, this one will be on my compound (150xl) my teenage daughters compound (125 standard) and my 11yr old daughters xbow (150xl). I seen you are coming out w a 2 blade soon. I'm pretty much stuck in my ways when it comes to my trad setup, Magnus are my go-to. But I will be ordering yours when available. It will be the first time I have tried a new trad head since I was 12 in 1991....33 yrs.

Will be trying the 125's in a couple days when they show up from Scheel's. I think it will be a good combo. VAP TKO Elite, 530gr with 13% FOC. Going to try to use them on everything from turkey to bear, cougar, mulie, elk.

#1 best broadhead hands down....taking over 4 animals with one broadhead alone... deer ,javalina,coatimundi and bobcat....even passed through the deer shoulder, including the scapula and drilled into a rock behind the deer and still sharpened fine...that was last year. This year took a deer and javalina...sharpened again and the broadhead is still in my quiver ready for the next harvest.

Double lung shot with the xl and he ran 30 yds and fell over. It as at sunset so I didn’t bother looking for blood we got the arrow and walked to where we saw the deer crash in the bushes. Only took a few seconds to get the job done. I would imagine the blood trail wasn’t great as it was center king from ground level so no low exit like from a tree. I lf I were to be looking for blood it would’ve been on the sides of trees and laurel leaves still on the bush from the spray as he’s huffing away. That being said next deer I take will be a tooth of the arrow xl solid.

Heart punched a doe at 20 yards and hit opposite shoulder on exit. 12 inches of arrow was left in the deer after it broke off. There was zero blood trail at impact site just like the ones in the video.

The 60 degree bevel isn’t as hair popping sharp as a replaceable blade. Will that 60 degree bevel still be effective slicing through hide, tissue and bone?

I can these very sharp, and sharper than other 3 blades. I attribute this to either the steel or the very accurate manufacturing so the blades are all at the same precise angle. Sharp enough to cut fine airs on my wrist, yet the angle is sough so it's to not fragile like some replaceable heads. I use a diamond stone per this video and finish on leather. Be sure to sharpen the rear blades as well.

You can also use the stay sharp 344 to change the bevel angle. Takes a long time on these due to how tough their construction is

You want to be able to draw back and immediately be in in position to shoot. As you draw back, you want to keep your bow as level as possible. Jon dudley has a video on this. But I had a deer in front of me at 30 yards and I was able to slowly draw and ancor without the deer noticing me.

Speed is to important to some people, they'd rather be overbowed and shyt form than lose a few fps 🤣. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt though because he has a backpack and quiver it looks like on his back, and I had my target buck this year under my stand when I walked in and I couldn't draw back with my pack on, with saddle and platform, and a few other things maybe 15#s tops. The straps wouldn't let me draw, I probably could have down this kind of draw but he would have ran anyways if I did more than likely. And im still after him lol

I've ordered 2 packs of 150 XL broadhead and the first time I shot with them. I have a Excalibur crossbow. My field points are dead on bullseye at 40 yds but not my broadheads. Tried different arrows and result with broadhead are always lower than the field points. It seems also that my broadhead is smaller where they meet at the arrow shaft. Any tip for the accuracy? Thank you.
@AnnihilatorBroadheads

@@Hunter-qg2bv those XLs can get squirly at longer ranges due to the larger surface area and larger cut. For xbows we usually recommend 125 standards or 100 standards. Larger parabolic vanes on an xbow help. Perhaps try some different vanes?

I'm also shooting the TKO's but mine are 350 with 50g inserts @ 62lb draw. I'm trying to decide between 100 or 100XL. I hunt deer, both whitetail and muledeer, no longer than 60 yards. Do you guys think there would be any downside going one vs the other?
@AnnihilatorBroadheads

100 Standards because the XLs are more finicky with slower speeds and could drop a bit for you at that 50-60 yard mark based on your set up.

I am also interested in these so I did get a pack of the original 100s. I think I will like them but ya I agree that they are crazy expensive. I had to convince myself to just buy one pack. That being said I have a question for you guys. I shoot a 26.5 inch draw length at 70lb doing 265fps. Arrow weight of 410g and 340 spine. The arrow looks to fly well with your head (broadhead tuned). After seeing your setup video I'm a little worried that I dont have the right rig for your head. I dont plan to shoot past 50 yards (60 max). Please give me you feed back on this.
@AnnihilatorBroadheads
@AnnihilatorBroadheads Жыл бұрын
I don't see anything wrong with your set up. Should be good to go! You won't think they are expensive when your animals drop within sight the majority of the time and after a passthrough your broadhead is ready to hunt again :)

@@AnnihilatorBroadheads thanks for reply. One more question. I seen the sharpening video and other comments but want to hear it from you. Should I expect it to get shaving sharp just running in on a stone? It digs into nail and cuts rubber bands fairly well but won’t cut hair. I’ve run it over the stone a lot. What you think?
@AnnihilatorBroadheads
@AnnihilatorBroadheads Жыл бұрын
@@COREYDEER No not really. It's a 30 degree bevel so they will never be as sharp as a 20 degree. We want edges that don't get dull or fold over upon impact into bone (edge retention). You can see in many sharpness test conducted and posted online that our edges stay sharper longer than almost all other heads because of the bevel. Annihilators are plenty sharp enough out of the box to get the passthrough given you have proper spine and arrow weight for the size of game you're after. Many low poundage shooters blow through animals like hogs etc due to the shape and factory edge sharpness. Hope that helps!
