Thanks for reaching out! Of course: I offer three types of leathers: 1) Buttero 2) Pueblo and 3) Waxed leathers. The pull ups are the ones saturated with oils that if you pulls them, it creates a lighter spot. The non pull-up petrol is only but doesn't create those lighter patterns, a more suttle oily leather. I only offer this one because I love the petrol look. All leathers are best quality from top Italian tanneries and as for threads: I have many colors: white, yellow, black, browns, greens, blue, dark red, beige...to give you an example. The last two photos of each product slide show on my site will show you all the types of colors for leathers and threads. Hope this helps. Best wishes :)

I think Yens could fit folded in halves of thirds. If you don't mind folding your cash, shouldn't be an issue. Some Euro bills even fit unfolded, as I demonstrate towards the end of the video. Japan is amazing, good luck with your move :)

@@PateplumaCo. Yes I know the smaller Euros fit, but Japanese currency and some other Asian currency is bigger even even folded. In the current design it might fold on top of the bills. If you happen to test that out I'd like to know. Ideally Yen folded in half would be perfect. I have others that I use with Yen folded in half since I dislike cash wraps anyway.

Kervin, Norbert here. Did you make the thumb slider horizontal instead of vertical because the Santa Clara is a horizontal wallet? It seems to me a vertical thumb slider might be just a bit easier to use.

Hey Norbert. Your assumtion is correct. The horizontal thumb slider was first introduced in the GreNi wallet (horizontal wallet as well), after many weeks of testing. Surprisingly, it works just fine. And the cards corners are all protected, cards more secured as well, while keeping quick access. Vertical thumb sliders are great (like in the Yohoa and La Laha wallets), but I was surprised to see how useful it is horizontally as well. And to be honest, it was a bit nostalgic because if you look back a bit, it reminds us of the old cassette tapes :). Kind regards friend!

Open Seas is amazing. You should buy their wallets too. No, I am not copying them, this wallet is extremely different in how it functions and in how its built. Believe me, I own most of their wallets. But I take it as a compliment because Open Seas is my favorite brand after mine :) Maybe you see the slope of the pockets and think of their Houbei. Fair, but that's where comparisons end in my opinion. I own both wallets and they are both very different experience. Mike at Open Seas is great though. I tell my customers that they should support him before anybody else because he has been a sort of inspiration to many of us.

Just looks like you moved the cross stitching from the left side of the Houbei and moved it to the bottom. That’s the only significant change. Yes the cuts may be slightly different but that doesn’t make this a completely original design. Anyways don’t waste your time replying to me, wish I could do what you do. Keep up the good work, I’ll definitely purchase a wallet from you in the future. Just a fan of good design.

But I can admit that the GreNi wallet was indeed inspired from their GunDeck. It's my own take on the first wallet that made me love wallets. But even so, the back is very different and the internals too. But I am not afraid to admit when a colleague inspired me. With the Lempira Wallet, you are wrong. The Houbei was never in my mind when I spent days and even weeks working on each milimiter of its design. Please follow me on Instagram for me to share photos and even videos of the behind the scenes of how this wallet is made. Very different. Cheers and happy to interact with you. Hi there 👋🏻 US Dollars are about 67mm wide. The internal of the wallet is about 69mm wise. Euros that are less than 70mm wide will fit. I can assure you that the 5, 10 euro bills fit easy, and 20 euro bill fits tight (but it fits). 50 euro and wider bills will have to be folded. Hope this helps. Best wishes!

@@nonobebert7646 I do: the Utila Wallet' horizontal cash pocket is meant for tall and short bills like the Euro. The Griffin Wallet is tall for Euros as well. In addition, Euros fit in every wallet that I categorized as "cash in halves" on my site. In addition, there is a wide wallet coming out soon. It's the biggest wallet I ever made; it will handle even 1000 euro bills which are super wide. Stay tuned...should be released sometime in April :)

Yes it is. I make many different designs of wallets. Some extremely thin and minimum and a few thick ones, more traditional ones. I wish to design products for everyone, not just for a few. The goal with the Griffin is to maximize, not minimize, like the traditional bifolds. I personally prefer the thinner design, but at Patepluma, everyone is welcomed :)

I recently purchased a Zela 2.0. I have had it since mid February. I purchased it in waxed olmo brown for the outside and buttero blue for the interior. I decided not to add the extra leather strap and paracord. Now, close to a month of daily usage I can say it is a really terrific wallet. As Kervin says and demonstrates in his video, you can insert cards into the front and back slots and withdraw them without having to unsnap the strap. He is also absolutely right that whether 1, 2, or 3 cards in each exterior slot, even though the corner is exposed, it will not accidentally fall out no matter whether you put your Zela upside down or right side up. I only keep 2 cards in each exterior slot and they are very easy to withdraw and re-insert. The remaining 4 cards that I carry fit easily inside the interior slot. As for bills, I don't normally carry more than 5 -8 and they fit easily. However, I am going on a 10 day trip and was able to test fit 20 bills folded so that the curl created by the single fold faces the top of the wallet instead of the bottom when I carry fewer bills. Naturally as I spend the notes the easier the remaining bills will fit in the bill slot. I am a more traditional bill carrier, as I went from a Distil-Union Wally 5.0 which has a money clip, to this Zela. As a general rule, I don't lean towards wallets which require notes to be folded because if you have to withdraw the notes and unfold them, often you cannot withdraw a single note without having to withdraw multiple notes and then taking the bill you want to use. I don't like exposing the number of bills I may have and the more notes you carry the thicker the wallet becomes when you fold them. However the ability to have multiple colors combined with the ease of use of cards in the front and back exterior slots made me realize that when not traveling, I use cards pretty much 80% of the time and cash the remaining 20%. Plus I would never have that many bills normally. In addition I found that I can fold credit card receipts and insert them into the bill carrying section so that I don't lose them. Plus it has the smallest footprint of any leather wallet I have and unless you go to a metal wallet like the Akeeni XStow or the ZNap by Slimpuro for an even smaller footprint, you will have to compromise on the manner in which you carry bills as well, though the ZNap is something of a hybrid in that you have a trifold attached to a metal case in which you put your cards. But the ZNap absolutely CANNOT hold 20 bills. So the smaller footprint is negated by the limits of how many bills you can insert. Others have commented on Kervin's craftsmanship, which I heartily echo, beautiful work. Ultimately I took a chance on a wallet I style that I was a bit hesitant about but I am extremely pleased with the result. Not only that, Kervin was very, very accommodating with me discussing the various color combinations and lending his own perspectives on what he thought might be the best wallet for my needs. I think that sort of personal interaction with a potential customer who is under no obligation to buy demonstrates that he enjoys his craft and people like himself who are really into wallets. If you decide to go with Patepluma I believe you will not be disappointed in any way. Kervin : this is my review which I couldn't post on your website since I was not able to get the link. Norbert.
