Same... Id never heard it before today.... I have no clue what rock I was hiding under but I missed so much great music! This is one of the things I LOVE about KZfaq. I'll play a song and get up to do an something and before long ill get sidetracked (thank you ADHD)..... Next thing I know it's been 3 hours and I've got a half clean house, a half redecorated room, a 1/3 of a room demo'd, dinner is halfway between frozen and being given Up on and fed to the dogs ... Wth??...How did this happen? Curse you Scuba-Steve! 👀 WTF? 🤣 Oh wait, I meant... "Curse you You-Tube!!! You tube always knows my moods and it knows just the right jams to play to get me me pumped!. Sometimes it will just pick songs from my other playlists-so I'll get to hear all of my faves.... Sometimes KZfaq shakes things up and bit and it'll start playing New music... We'll "New to Me, Music".... That's how I found Falling In Reverse a month or so ago.... KZfaq was doing it's thang and next thing I know "Last Resort" starts playing. Not gonna lie....At first I was like, "What the figgity, fuggerty, fuggedddity, frack is this bullshit".... Why the hell are musicians so lame anymore? Why they so lazy? Everybody shits on hen X'ers and says we are old and out of sync with the rest of the world. Gen X'ers are accused of holding on to a mindset that no longer works in today's world ... Of course I disagree but that's moot point..... But!!! For fucks sake .... What the hell is with all of the frigging Cover music and remakes and reimagining (Sorry Ronnie... All tea no shade ... ) I am Sick of all of these no name, no talent shits taking classics (and yes my fellow gen xer's... 🤣🤣🤣 The songs of our generation are now classics you heard me right they are classics with a Capital c now when you turn on that radio station no more do you hear creedence Clearwater revival or Tina Turner or The Mamas & the papas oh no its bon Jovi it's KZfaq it's Aerosmith lmao.... hell Aerosmith was old when we were young! Anyhow .. so I was prepared to drag Ye Ole Soapbox out and head to Facebook to speak forth my disgust but I the i heard the words.. like Heard THEM! I love Last Resort- no matter where I am-when that song comes on and I'm ready to start a mosh pit 🤣🤣 not really but It does do something to mr... something comes over me and I can feel my inner rage monster snicker as it soarsforth prepared for the fuckery it is about to I leash.... I turn it up, and begin to tattoo the steering wheel with angry thumps as I thrash my head about and stare menacingly out my car window at all of the mid-day/mid-week Karen Serpents who are trying to sip their 500 degree PSL's whilst listenING to their own thrash metal typed music that hypes them up and gives them the energy to piss on all of the rest of us..... Who knows? Maybe it's the gutteral stylings of Kenny G that fuels their venom.... They sethe and rage in thier heated seats/air conditioned/ temperature controlled perfection that is the selling point on those gas guzzling behemoths...... You know who they are.... 👀. You know.... Those shits who dareth to have the temerity to fixketh with me a nano second before"THAT"song began to play... Mwah ah ah ahhhhhh! "Wassa matter Spider? So the song starts and I'm instantly pissed and I'm fixing to take to the social medias to spew forth my bitter diatribe.... But thank heavens my slow internet strikes again because In the few seconds it took for my phone to launch my fat ass onto my FaceBook's news page where I was preparing to type my ire... All of a sudden that song became something else for me.... I'm telling you I was gutted by the end of Ronnie's take on that song... I listened to it on replay for an hour i bet. Over and over I listened and over and over I cried, over and over I rubbed at my chest and tried to pull the achiness out of my heart. I had listened to that song for years but I never once truly heard the words ... Anyone who has dealt with addiction, loss, heartache, heartbreak-if you have been through something traumatic- this song should be your anthem. What Ronnie was able to do with that song.... Oooh. OH MY gawd* he did the damned thing on that song.... NEVER EVER should a remake be allowed to sit on the charts again if it doesn't follow the masterclass that Mr Radke Gave all musicians when he did the Last Resort reimagining.... THAT, my friends, IS HOW YOU DO A COVER/REMASTER/REIMAGING!!! After I listened to that song I bet 3 dozen times I was about to to set off and go find MORE Falling In Reverse when KZfaq said, "I got you, sister!" And it did.... Each song that followed just got better and better.... Oh my lawd! Within minutes I was a fan and looking to see if they were on your so I could snag some concert tickets. My husband came in during my education of FIR and he just looked at me like I had lost my mind lol.... he, of course, knew who FIR was and had been jamming to the for few years. He had tried to play some of their songs for me but for one reason or another I just never got into it. (It's because he knew something that I didn't and that gnaws at my nerves.... I hate when he finds cool music and in turn introduces me to it.... Because..... Because he is so damned pompous about it! 🤢 Listen here Augustus T McStuffy-Britches. Youve know about them for a whole 5 minutes! So Stop acting so superior???? The shyte! Anyhow .... I say all of that to say this.... I'm so new to FIR I feel that I'm unqualified to speak about their music.... I can say that I have FR#S#* @ LOVED getting to know this group ...... I'm enjoying the hell Out of this ride AND I CANNOT WAIT TO HEAR MORE! I'm sad I missed out on them for so long but I'm so damned glad Ill have them in my playlists from here on out!
