/@Live.Adventure.Travel "making fun of Irish accent"...? never been to Ireland, i know the way the Irish speak only from movies, or internet, but i just love it... so why should i...? "ability to stretch the truth" oh, i'm used to that one... my wife has this ability too... and she's not even Irish... 😋 "swearing" also, used to that... we use curse words as commas... not anything to brag with, but it is how it is... "sarcasm" yup, no probs... "drinking" "a round" also known in my country... taking this (and the two above) into account, are Irish somehow descendants of Polish people...? 🤣

Facing the oncoming traffic when walking on a road with no sidewalks is such an important, basic rule that is much too often forgotten by people, if even taught nowadays 🤦♀️ I'm from Belgium and I believe that rule applies in neighbourhood countries.

Ireland is part of the British Isles... Great video! Especially the "top of the mornin'" - or indeed any attempt to say anything considered to be an Irish phrase or in an Irish accent. But, 5:57: As right as you are regarding Britain and the United Kingdom, Ireland is, purely geographically speaking, in the British Isles. It sucks to have a name derived from a single part of the whole but this has no political or judicial connections. It's simply the cartographic term for those bits of land. Much like "the Americas" referring to many more countries that the USA.

Very lovely lady who has a very nice way of speaking. I could listen to her forever and would hope she could be a guide if I ever were to make it to Ireland. Is one thing I would say to Laura personally. You don't have an accent! If you came to visit America you would have an accent. But if we come to visit you there in Ireland then it's us that has the accent. So don't apologize it's who you are. .. and lovely. I think it's great the way you speak. And even though I don't understand one word of it, I love to hear the Irish spoken. And yes I'm a big fan of the quiet man.

Your vide is very helpful. They could be even better if you can show the approximate location of the recommended attraction on an Ireland map to give us an idea which part of Ireland they are located.

My story from my first visit to Ireland in 1998. I was trying to find my hotel in Dublin and it was on a street that changed names about five times. I wound up about 15 minutes out of the center and almost in tears because I had been driving all day. I went into a corner store and asked for help and a young university student Said, just follow me, and drove me all the way to my hotel.

I've always fancied Ireland as my grandfather came from cork,but there doesn't seem to be a lot of Irish people there anymore, might as well visit the middle east or Africa instead 😢 stay safe Ireland my prayers are with you 🇮🇪🏴✌🏻

15 degrees and blistering sunshine - so... what you are really saying it's bloody cold. We have a rule here in our house in Australia, when it's 15 you turn the heater on.

as far as accents go: everyone has one. if you think someone's accent is weird or fun or ...; well, to that person you're the one with an accent.

I have been to Dublin, and had a wander around the countryside to somewhere wonderful. Can freely attest to the perils of the M50 toll-road for the uninitiated. By the way, the reason for a lack of AmEx card acceptance is simple. Businesses have to pay a hefty premium for the privilege of taking American Express cards, and it's not worth their effort unless they have a LOT of custom as a result. Thank you for the video. Very useful, and I can't wait to get back there.

When you make a purchase, DO NOT use the shop's currency exchange they will charge a HIGHER exchange rate vs what your bank would charge. They will word it as an easier way to understand your purchase, it's a trick.

Since when have Irish pound notes not been legal tender in England, Scotland or Wales? It is acceptable tender and if you have a problem go to a bank and they will change it for you! Obviously there might be a check to make sure it isn’t counterfeit! However who carries that much cash these days?

Jesus, if you go country mayo,you best be brave. You will need industrial woolen attire,from long jons to hat .in fact forget the hat youll be chasing it all the time. Irland is a buitifull place,but no matter how you dress it up its just too cold. It gets to the point you just get annoyed with the place. The wind is incessant, whatever month it is be summer spring, windy and cold.you bear the cold but that bloody wind .no!!
@vincentberkhout37135 күн бұрын
When visiting Ireland always remember, if its warm by some miracle then it will be over very soon. Remember to bring jumpers that are used in the artic. And bring plenty of vasaline for your lips,failure to do so will lead to your face being wind burnt. Think cold,cold,and freezing and that's the summer. Oh and don't feed the immigrants, they might look sorry,but are scamming filth. So be aware,bring enough Money because you'll need it in the pubs,and bars. The food and service are exemplary.
