Today I started sprinting for the first time since school (other than on my dad’s farm when working with sheep - sometimes sprinting is necessary). I hated sports at school probably cos running in general was something I found to be torture but I’m sure I can incorporate sprinting a few times a week on top of 3 times a week of weight lifting and once a week of ballroom dancing which I already do and love. I am almost 52, carnivore and really looking forward to seeing the kart if my mum tum go away (mum of 5, some residual love handles waiting to be gone and therefore I reckon I would have some visceral fat to lose). I’m wondering if he C section slight overhang and the loose skin will go - I have not always had a great diet and was once 15 stone in weight. Now I am 2/3 of that size at 10 stone and just want to make sure my rest if my life is as long and fit and healthy as I can make it. I drink bone broth which I make myself and only eat meat, eggs and some cheese, cream and sometimes yogurt. Thank you Dr Sean for inspiring me Dr Lynn (ex medical doctor here) to do even better now! Never woulda thought of doing sprinting and I’m so excited to see what happens next! 😎🥩💃🙏🏻 🏃‍♀️ 🏋🏼‍♂️

Adaptation is one component of evolution, so is natural selection, there's evidence of both, indeed human beings are the ultimate example of adaptation, natural selection and evolution. Today's scientists stand on Darwin's considerable shoulders, its a brave person who'd argue his theory.

Great interview with Prof. Karyn Esser! ❤ I'm 73, struggling to build back muscle and weight after Covid shutdown turned me into more and more of a sedentary person for the last 3 years. Anxiety, depression and insomnia figured in. I'm improving my sleep, thanks to Matthew Walker, PhD, and Prof. Esser is great for me, who did weight training from age 45-69, then I backslid. Hearing that afternoon exercise is good is great news for me, a born nightowl. ❤

High fat & high carb in huge calories will activate the Randle Cycle. It would be good to list an example for the listener/viewer. Suggesting say 2500cal 150g Protein (600cal) 100g fat (900cal) which would leave 250g of carbs (1000cals). It really just comes back to TDEE and track food if you dont know what the average are eating. Some of the body builders will hit C60 P30 F10 if doing high protein low fat. Atleast that approach also avoids the randle cycle too. Cheers

Saludos

I did OMAD, 60% FAT, no hunger, no specific step count, even my NEAT was low. 31:14 Did he forget to mention FAT? This might explain why it was easy to go 23 if not more hours without kcal intake. As fat slows down digestion, it sounds like I was releasing /.keeping GLP1 elevated for longer? Resistance training was not negotiable. As I didn't have carbs as a ready to go fuel source my resistance training was done in micro bouts throughout the day. The above yielded a 39 lbs / 18 kgs of total body weight. If I say how much fat in grams I ate, most would not believe me... But you get a gist when it is put as 60%. Most of the fats came from nuts and seeds. So high fat with fibre and some protein.

There's very little mention of fruit at all, indeed fruit can and should be eaten. The type of fruit you eat is also a factor, lower glycaemic fruit like berries is preferable to higher glycaemic fruit like ripened bananas or mamgo. While fructose is found in fruit, its the hidden fructose in processed foods that is far more damaging. In addition there are many meat options, including poultry and fish. Red meat isn't the only meat/ protein source.

0:06 Wait, animals exercise 😂- do they even know the concept of it. We is anthropomorphism being used here? In good jest. 04:02 if they have evolved to eat this way - how can be classed as, out of control? They eat to pack on fat - so they can then hibernate during the winter. Predestination. Nutrient definition: a substance that provides nourishment essential for the maintenance of life and for growth. This seems to go against what fructose is used for, to be hyperbolic; it is a fat promoting nuisance, unless you are a bear. lol 22:54 eating them at the end of the meal ( treat them as a dessert - after all, they are a SUGAR BOMB ) - apparently can lessen the BS spike and could further be reduced by drinking ACV 20 mins before hand. What about exercising before and then afterwards to staunch the spike? Active muscles are primed to soak up glucose. No doubt the worst thing to do would be, to eat them at the start of the meal and then be sedentary. Big no,no! Why is allulose banned? Allulose is banned in Europe and Canada, possible carcinogen. What fruit has allulose in it? Allulose, a low calorie sweetener, occurs naturally in small amounts in foods like wheat and dried fruits such as figs and raisins, making it a rare sugar. *** Thoroughly enjoyable - thank you for featuring Dr Richard Johnson. 😀 👍

@@happyhabitpodcast That mutch, I do understand but, alas, most people become rather impatient and lose interest. Surely, the whole thing can be summarized and thus become more palatable. The thing is that those who do have some prior knowledge and thus do not need the detailed analysis and who would benefit the most, being in a position to appreciate it, are those who will skip it. Those without prior knowledge are, most probably, people who are not exactly fond of learning. Well, that's my "theory" which, judging from the number of "likes" so far, does appear not to be so "arbitrary" and wrong. Thank you for answering, by the way!

Please show me the research evidence for the benefits of a low-carb diet

@happyhabitpodcast 21 күн бұрын
Theres alot but here are several citations, all peer reviewed and published in reputable journals : 1. Low-Carbohydrate Diet for the Treatment of Obesity and Type 2 Diabetes: A Comprehensive Review from 2015. This comprehensive review provided strong evidence that low-carbohydrate diets are beneficial for the management of obesity and type 2 diabetes, often leading to significant weight loss and improved glycemic control. 2. Low Carbohydrate Diets and All-Cause and Cause-Specific Mortality: Two Cohort Studies from 2013. This meta-analysis indicated that low-carbohydrate diets were associated with reduced all-cause mortality and certain specific mortality causes. 3. Comparison of Low Carbohydrate and Low Fat Diets for Weight Loss and Cardiovascular Risk Reduction in Obese Adults: A Randomized Trial, 2003. This randomized trial showed that a low-carbohydrate diet led to greater weight loss and improvements in certain cardiovascular risk factors than a low-fat diet in obese adults. 4. Carbohydrate Restriction Has a More Favorable Impact on the Metabolic Syndrome than a Low Fat Diet from 2008. This study compared low-carbohydrate, Mediterranean, and low-fat diets, finding that the low-carbohydrate diet resulted in the greatest improvements in weight loss and markers of the metabolic syndrome.

Hormones are created by eating correctly and using the body vigorously. The human species is in fact a carnivore. Without eating animals the human body cannot produce propper hormone levels. Plants are not to be considered food to any human species. 98.7% is all plants are poisonous. Mankind has manipulated plants to lower their defense chemicals and anti-nutrients that the plants use for protection. Every single plant from your Supermarket is modified from a poisonous plant and none of them grow in the wild anywhere and do not propagate by themselves. Dr Anthony Chaffee MD, Shawn Baker MD, Ken D Berry MD, explain in detail how we've been lied to by big corporations, etc. Return to carnivore and all your hormones return to their OPTIMUM LEVELS.
