Good show. I agree, There's not a team in the playoffs the Kings could beat. Bring on Bloody Sunday and the rebuild! I want to see Kempe, Fiala, Moore, Byfield and Mikey Anderson back. Honest, the rest of the team could implode. I would like Arvy back too but we can't afford him, and honestly, he's so injury prone anyway you can never count on having him anyway. When he's around just feels more like a bonus. I disagree that we're a "better team" this year than last year. Last year I knew EDM was a challenge (they always will be), but last year I felt IF we could get past them we had a strong a chance as anybody. This year, I feel like if by some miracle McDavid and leon draisaitl get injured or miss their flight to LA and we beat Edmonton, we'd just get knocked out by Vegas or Dallas in the next round.

I feel the same way you guys feel. When we are on, we are on. It's all about how well we can play defensively and hold. Can certain guys step up when other guys are off? I will say, while not maybe feeling as confident as last year, I feel like we have more offensive firepower this year: it's just a matter of those guys stepping up when the offense is off. The problem is no one steps up when we are cold on offense. And we can't play well from behind.

The Kings defense needs better overall skating. They have a great defensive system based on goals against with the current goalie personnel. But you need to be able to score off the rush as well as score off a cycle.

2 years ago LA was ahead of schedule and in this short time where LA has made the playoffs 3 consecutive season fans want Blake's head, really, since he was hired in 2017 in his time as GM, LA went from cupboards bare to one of the best prospect pools in hockey, and from a top 5 pick team, to a perennial playoff team, in 7 seasons, he's done a good job in a lot of ways, has there been missteps sure (notably Cal Peterson and the Dubios contracts), but name a GM without any, Blake has been a really good GM and it would be a mistake to fire him

Clarke has undeniable talent offensively but his defensive game needs alot of work mainly just recognizing when not to be offensive and i think the speed of the game is still hurting his defensive awareness, on Spence he quietly has 16 pts in 44 games playing 15 min a night, and he doesn't struggle defensively, i wouldnt mind if Hiller went with Roy/Doughty, Anderson/Clarke, and Gavrikov/Spence D parings be good complementary pairs and Englund outside of the last 2 games has not been as good as at the start of the season not terrible just i don't know maybe a returning to the mean

LA needs to run the rebuild back if they want a cup. They need new scouting and new MGMT. 2018 2019 and 2020 drafts were VITAL for this team to build a cup foundation and they missed on their top picks in those drafts (sans B. Faber and to a lesser degree Aatu Jamsen) and they probably missed on their top pick in 2021. Say what you want about Clarke, but remember he was uninvited to WJC team Canada in the year he got drafted 8th overall. I hope I’m wrong in all of this, but you said “maybe we aren’t good”. With Vancouver, Edmonton, vegas, and Seattle only getting better and Anaheim and San Jose embracing the rebuild the Kings might need a new direction because they don’t look like a team that can get better significantly the way they are structured.

Good episode fellas and I do agree with you on majority of the issues. TMac is a good coach and yes at the end of the day the Players are responsible to go out and produce but TMac is part of the team and the organization and does account for the good and the bad but during games Tmac would never take timeouts to stop the bleeding after blowing soo many leads in so many games and It felt like other teams were outcoaching him during games figuring out the Kings system by coming out and dominate the Kings after the first period. Also TMac should have benched or scratched PLD among other players but did not probably because Blake would not allow it and I definitely agree on our so called GM "Robbish Blake" being the main problem and should be fired NOW before he completely destroys this Kings organization by giving away the rest of out drafts and prospects! Sadly The PLD deal is a complete BUST and a Disaster and will hurt the Kings for years to come even if we dump PLD before his full no-move clause that kicks in this summer unfortunately Kings still paying most of his $68 Million contract!!!

PLD has no speed no faceoff skills no physicality gets over taken and out hustled by much smaller players and looks lost just about all the time! Winnipeg totally robbed the Kings thanks to Blake and genius Winnipeg management!!! Jets are the top team in the whole NHL and all 4 lines are playing lights out hockey without their best player Conner out injured Vilardi has more goals and points in half the games played even Iafallo has more points than Houdini and that's a fact! PLD IS 🥶🥶🥶

PLD plays with a rookie and Grundstrom. That line was really the only 5 on 5 grade A chance offense in the rangers game. PLD will get better. I’d like to see him with arvidsson.

Spence is good. He will get better. He needs to take more offensive risks. The defense will come. As of now he’s not a liability on offense or defense, but this is a long season. Roy couldn’t contain Lee on the game tying goal off the faceoff and he failed to flip the puck out of the zone….could’ve been a product of the ice. That ice wasn’t good it seemed.

The Kings are elite. I don’t think the rangers are better than them. The intangibles of that game just seemed out of the kings hands. Varlamov played his best game against LA. And Talbot played awful in the third. The rebound control needs to be a full 60 effort. Lee knocked the Kings off their game with his knee and slew foot. LA is beating teams they definitely should beat. Their lack of domination at home is concerning but it should even out over the season. If anything, rob Blake’s deadline deal is a top goalie. Turcotte just got another bad concussion…this is concerning to our depth and his future as he was a point per game player.

I feel we should have played Copley against the Islanders....Also..Quick caught a tired Kings team. If we were gonna lose id rather it be against Quick..Kings Legend 4 Life .
