Remake of Rod's 1962 single. Funny thing: Koppelman-Rubin wrote the 1962 song...but now, same song is written by Rod Bernard!

Hell , I couldn't square dance even if my very life depended on it . But you know what ? I really like listening to these restructured country classics designed for square dancing ! Very enjoyable indeed .

My uncle Anthony Carmen Lombardo was in the strategic air command band around 1960. I’ve been trying to find some information on him and I just seen this. I thought I would check in. Would you have known him? He passed in 1970 at the age of 39 years old and week before he retiredfrom his service in the Air Force

Okay, I know exactly why the major labels didn't pick her up--thought she'd be competing with Patsy Cline, or be taken as piggybacking on Cline. Still a great voice! In fact, with a name like "Joyce New," it wouldn't surprise me if this weren't an unknown Cline experimental later pressed into a record.

Probably not. Tower was a subsidiary of Capitol and a home to country and garage artists with a lower profile than Capitol's rosters. Singles from Tower were terrific, but rarely moved up the chart very far.
