We had that same kit when I was a kid. Clean the tube, scuff, then poke some holes in the top of the patch then light it. I've never had one fail.

The movie’s tagline was “based on a true fantasy”. It uses real parts of Elton’s life that were changed to fit into a 90 minute movie. To say its inaccurate is mute because it never claimed to be such. And no, the movie is not trash.

In the dating game, as soon as we leave, memory slowly fade, and new flirtations arise.
@lessermook7608 Жыл бұрын
flirtations stemmed from involuntary chemical compulsion, zero authenticity. Spellbound one day, sane the next. Over & over, energy, time, & money puppeted by ones happenstance hormones. So many "experiences", Zero investment, no genuine bond ever built to last. Hamsterwheel cycle. A Matrix in its own right.💊 _The dating game. As a kid back in the late 60's to the 80's our bikes were our main source of transportation. We lived out in the country and always got bullhead stickers in our tubes. Patching our tires was part of the fun. Seems we did it as a group of kids with no adult supervision. These patches were common back when I was a kid. We used to call them hot patches. We didn't have the fancy clamp to hold the patch down but always used a metal tool to hold it down. I always liked them better than the conventional contact cement patches. I wish they were still available.

Cut a piece of rubber from a broken inner tube preferrably a thicker one from motorcycles and use it in the same fashion. I suppose you can use other source of heat for the clamp such as from an igniter so you can control the duration. The extreme heat and the age of the rubber must have overcooked the old rubber patch to become sticky and brittle. This system is not perfect and can result in patches that can leak air over 2-7 days but you can always pump up between rides when at home before leaving. Maybe you can apply some rubber glue or polyurethane glue around and on the patch to seal away some micro-sized holes that cause slow leaks. Our street vulcanizing shops do this using cutouts from motorcycle tubes and with a giant clamp/heatpress.

Patch after 50 years seems to lost its strong that's quite clear, however the system itself is quite good, I do have a problem with patches and glues, actually eventually all of them come off after 60 Fahrenheit degrees in a Summer time, no matter how good you apply them they do not resist the pressure and heat in a ride hence, come off, so been looking for a system that actually vulcanize the patch, could you please give name or information about this system......thank you for your time
@ayuchanayuko5 жыл бұрын
Our street vulcanizing shops here take pieces of rubber from broken inner tubes, then put them in a clamp that also electrically apply heat on the top part which melts the rubber patch into the tube. Makes your broken inner tubes useful to patch your newer tubes.
