My 2021 Escape is a well designed suv and is a pleasure to drive in the city. But if you take it on a long road trip at highway speeds you may have second thoughts about your purchase. On the highway it is not very quiet and has road noise that can ruin your trip. Why Ford would design such a nice vehicle and go so cheap on soundproofing baffles me!!

It looks better in this gen for sure. I do agree it does need the manual. What a car ❤️

Regarding the rear end "wobble" over bumps, some other forums mentioned that their tires came over inflated. And once they got them to spec, it fixed the wobble issue. Perhaps yours are over inflated too?

Owned one for 8000 miles after a Highlander. Big mistake for me. Harsh ride, small interior, six recalls. Traded it in. Glad for those who love it, but not good for me.

The B58 sounds so much better than most of the new M car inline 6's. They all sound very strange to me.

But the vehicle has an autonomous braking system to stop by itself in case you're hitting a deer. I don't think the break is an issue, but the third-row sit is awful.

I drive a Mazda 3 Sport GT (2023) nice to see you review the Suna Ed. I saw one on the road last week. This Mazda3 must be near the end of this generation soon. I feel like this visibility issue may be subjective depending on how the driver was trained to set their side mirrors. I always felt that the Mazda3 has a fantastic range of adjustment on the side mirrors. Much better than my previous car. 😅 I find the rearward visibility to be great while driving but awful for reversing. I want to look back but can't see anything. The rear window is too small and backing out a driveway takes some extra care as you have to stop and look out the side windows just prior to pulling out whereas in other cars you can just see what's coming if you look back over your shoulder.

Why not review an xle base 2.4 model. Not everyone can afford the higher trims.

I recently test drove the A spec ilx model and I thought it was a very competent vehicle for the money. Naturally aspirated, dual clutch, good looks, good on gas, reasonably priced. Come on man, way to harsh of a review. He complains about the auto shift boot material & dash board vents being an after thought. Geez. The steering wheel is too far away? I thought this ilx had telescopic steering adjustment on it. I’m 6 4 and I was plenty comfortable in this vehicle. I’m glad he wont recommend one to his friends, maybe it’ll be easier for me to score a used one then!

Maybe old people like me at 50 who used to own multiple M3, M4 wants a fully loaded 540i at 79545 usd instead of a hardcore M3 at 90 k anymore, m550i was in my radar until wife also wants a model X as our 2 nd out of 3 cars

Excellent review. You're right about harsh ride because of large wheels. Bumps on the roads really travel to your body. I think a subaru would be better with its best offroad capability

EV range ? Yesterday, we drove our 24 Prime for the first time in Hybrid Mode. For the first 3 months we've had it we only drove in full EV Mode but we were making our first highway trip and chose to select hybrid. Keep in mind, during those 3 months we have not once put gas in the tank ? Even with cooler spring temperatures here we have managed to get 80Km on a charge. Surprisingly, we still got over 80Km on the highway (at 100Kph), with gentle peddle use before the battery died. Even more surprisingly, at highway speed, the engine did not once start until the battery died. What's up with that ? Today, we started out with a 100% charge in Auto EV Mode around town and the engine did operate frequently. We still saw an average consumption (after three legs), of about 3 L per 100Km. That's far better than our first two (non-Prime), models. Can't quite figure this thing out yet, but, it's a real sipper in any Mode. Love it.

We just got 26 average MPG with our 2023 Jeep Wrangler Sport 2-door 3.6 e-torque with 8-speed auto from Monterey, CA to Sacramento, CA averaging 68 MPH. It was loaded with three passengers and luggage. Acceleration is outstanding too. Very happy and it's a blast to drive.

I’m four-time Miata owner, a motorhead with a 2019 MX-5 Sport, the entry level model. Be aware of a few things: - The Sport model (in the USA) is a bargain. For the thousands you save on the Club, you can buy superior aftermarket suspension and tires - If you are 6’ 4” your eyes are going to be looking directly at the windshield surroun - this car is too small for you. Same with people 190 lb or over. You literally will not be able to get into the car. The RF is for people who cruise the city streets on not summer nights, enjoying being seen. This is not a true convertible, it is a targa top with big blind spots are both rear quarters, top open or closed. On the highway when the targa top is open, the wind buffeting is unacceptable. With the top closed, it is only 2 DB quieter inside than the roadster. In the roadster, wearing earbuds with noise cancellation enables you to take phone calls when the top is down, and at highway speeds, with voices clear on both ends. - The Sport is lavishly equipped for an entry-level model. While most manufacturers stick cheap four-season tires on their entry level cars, the sport comes with high-performance tires, and indication of this company’s integrity. - I wish Mazda would made available an entry-level MX-5 at an even lower price point. Ditch the power assist on windows, steering, and brakes. It is better without. Also, the sound system is useless, as is the digital display, so ditch them. But add the limited-slip diff, currently not included with the Sport. Stay with the Sport’s 16” skinny wheels - they offer better traction than the 17” wheels on the Club and all the spec racers use 16” tires. But install super high performance tires: Bridgestone Potenza RE-71RS. This car would weigh 2000 lb and sell for $26k.
