Hi piqueLab. Transparent object let most light pass through it / transmit through it. But it’s not ALL light. If that’s the case, isn’t it wrong to say transparent objects do not form shadows? It should be they form very faint / little shadows. If all light can pass through, wouldn’t the object be invisible and it only happens in perfectly transparent objects eg air. Or am I overthinking and students need not worry about it?

Hi there! You are right. Transparent objects form very faint shadows. However, this is not tested in the PSLE syllabus. In the PSLE syllabus, students are only required to know that transparent objects do not form shadows while translucent objects form faint shadows. Hope this clarifies. Thank you!
