Id love to know the difference between the XL and XLT. No dealer or salesman seems to be able to answer what seems like a simple question
@MtnRoads
@MtnRoads 8 күн бұрын
First, the XLT definitely has a sportier appearance. , and no steelies on the XLT. The interior gets upgraded fabric over the XL and the bed gets more tie downs then the XL (10 vs 6) the XLT also gets a bed cubby space. Really though the XLT can be spec'd up way more then the XL. The FX4 and Tremor packages are available to the XLT and NOT the XL. The XL kind of is a bare bones utility truck. The differences are minor I think until you start adding things, if you want to. I hope that helps. Thank you for dropping in and commenting!

Great information! Thanks for pulling it all together. One parameter I've never seen mentioned is how high the driver's eyes would be above the road surface. I know this would vary based on the driver and how the seat is adjusted but an average figure would be very useful.

I think there is chance that it could. Yes, the GT 63 S E Performance was just released, but part of that is the E Performance badge. That designates that there is electrification being used for that model. This version (hopefully) will not have any electric assistance, so the E Performance will be dropped. leaving the AMG GT S to fill the gap between the GT 63 and the 63 S E Performance. Or.. These companies claiming to be going "Full EV" are going to be in for a world of hurt. The market is already saturated with these overpriced golf carts, by 2030 it's going to be a bloodbath for these manufacturers.
@MtnRoads
@MtnRoads 2 ай бұрын
I've been following this "Full EV" thing too, because I'm a data nerd in my regular 9to5, In the just the few months since I've posted this episode I think attitudes are starting to change with some of those companies. Most if not all European and American car companies cant make "affordable" EVs. That and the surge of much cheaper Chinese EVs that's about to hit the global market if they haven't already, seems to be changing some minds. I think in the mid to short terms you're going to see some of those companies start to pull away from "Full EV", and their focus will change to hybrids. I think Ford has already stated as much, at least for their European plans. I wont be surprised if more follow suit. Time will tell. Appreciate your thoughts. I think when it comes to emissions, the 4 cylinder helps. The problem comes with the fact that, a 4 cylinder engine in a car the size of a C63, just feels and sounds cheap. But when it's comes to the CLA 45 S or A45 S(Available in some parts of the world, such as South Africa), it makes total sense to put the 4 cylinder in those types of cars. I think AMG should should give customers various options to choose from. But all '63' cars should and must remain a V8 powered car (or a newly developed N/A V6 or N/A V8 mounted to the P3 hybrid system) . Going back to the example of various options. This is what I think AMG should do... Mercedes-AMG C53 - Turbo Inline 6 P2 Hybrid System with 497HP. AWD! Mercedes-AMG C63 - V8 Biturbo with 520HP. RWD only! Mercedes-AMG C63 S - V8 Biturbo with 597HP. RWD, optional AWD. Mercedes-AMG C63 S E-PERFORMANCE - V8 Biturbo P3 Hybrid system with 690HP. AWD
