Hi Mark, I would love to do the SW Coast Path but it's just to far to keep doing as day trips, but I will probably do more little sections of it in the future when on holiday down there. I'm taking my time with the Wales Coast Path and might start a new trail once I've completed the Heart of England Way. I'm just enjoying getting outside. Is the SW Coast Path something you are thinking of doing? Thank you for watching, All the best, Andy 👍

Hi Andy I would love to visit Lands End here in England, it looks such a lovely place and peaceful too and the museum looked very interesting. Looked a lovely walk to Nanjizel Beach and the weather looked perfect and the waterfall so lovely. We have to visit here one day. Nice photos including that one of you and your son. Beautifully filmed and edited as always 👍~ Anna

Thank you so much Anna, it is a lovely place, it gets very busy though, we were there in the main holiday weeks but I'm an early bird, we were one of the first to arrive so I got to see the place peacefully before the crowds arrived, you don't have to walk far to get away from them though, it was such a lovely path to walk, two miles each way, or you could double the walk and continue to Porthcurno Beach and The Minnack Theatre, those was the original plan but the Yheatre was fully booked and the busses were on strike. There is also a shorter walk if you head right at Lands End, a mile to another little Cove. The Lizard Point is an alternative, a smaller, less commercialised place, I think my video from there will hopefully be on soon. The last in my little Cornwall series. Thank you for watching, All the best. Andy 👍

I'm a Wordsley 'lad' born & bred. Lived there for close on 65 years before moving to Mid-Wales in 2008. Used to live in Oak Park Rd., about half a mile from Lock 12. As a child the whole area used to be my 'playground'. I can remember when the Stuart Glass works was operational. I can also remember the Shillingford family running a rowing boat business operating from the Stourbridge junction. As there were no locks you could row all the way to the Stewponey, if you could afford the hire charge, which I never could. This video has certainly brought back many treasured memories, more latterly as I used to walk my dog along the canal path nearly every day from Buck Pool to the Stourbridge Arm & back to Brettell Lane. Thanks very much for showing it.

Thank you, Anna, It was a beautiful place, The main car park is better at the top, and there is a bus service if you did not want to walk down, it was a bit steep . I have since been told, you are better to park at St Erth Park and ride and get the train in, which drops you next to the first beach we visited, it also stops at Hayle along the way, we sat at Hayle later and I got to see the trains were very regular. There were so many beaches in a short walk, very narrow little streets, and plenty of places to eat and drink as you wandered around. Thank you for watching, we stopped at The Cintra (Harbour) and again at the beach with white beach huts, then got some giant pasties from the town. We had a week in Perranporth. This was about a 30-minute drive from where we were. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. All the best, Andy 👍

Nice video, thanks for sharing. Shame about the old beech tree felled by storms in 2023, and thought to be around 250 years old. Thank you, Peter. Yes, it's such a shame that the old tree has fallen. The pubs I don't remember too well, although I did visit one some thirty years ago, I thought it was the Fountain as the name sounded familiar, but the look of the Hill Tavern looks more like the establishment I popped in back then. My memory is not too good, I remember the amusement arcade more and how surprised I was to find it. It was a dark, foggy evening, it's the only time I had been to that part of the hill, quite lost, driving around an area I did not know. I never found it again. Thank you for watching. I'm glad you enjoyed the video, All the best, Andy 👍

The pub used to be the Fountain, then it was the Fours Stones Restaurant. , and I remember the Arcade. They used to do coffees, teas and cans of pop and ice creams in Summer . It always seemed an incongruous place for an Amusement arcade, but as there was nowhere else to get a warm drink then, you would often end up in there, clutching a plastic cup of weak tea, before heading back to wherever the car was,. It was very uncomfortable and down at heel! You just hasd to stand around with your plastic cup burning your fingers.

I remember driving around there many years ago on a dark foggy evening and turned up a dead end road and saw the lights of an amusement arcade, and pub, I couldn't believe my eyes, it was like something from a spooky movie. I went inside to see if it was real. Yes, I think around the time the pub was called the fountain. I'm guessing I'm talking about 30 years ago, give or take. Thanks so much for your series of videos. We are currently walking the WCP and are just overtaking you at Whistling Sands. Your videos have really helped us in our planning and especially with regard to the transport links. We note that you are now doing there and back walks over the far part of the Llyn Peninsula, and wonder if you know about the excellent Fflecsi bus service which serves this area now that conventional buses no longer run there. You need to download the Fflecsi app and then enter the journey you wish to make and your preferred time. It’s more like a taxi than a bus service, but only £4 per person. They will pick you up from remote car parks and deliver you exactly where you want to go. The technology is great with maps sent to give the exact location of the pick up, and a countdown as to when the bus will arrive. We used them from Porth Oer back to Porth Tywyn, and will do so again tomorrow from Aberdaron back to Whistling Sands, and then from Hell’s Mouth back to Aberdaron. After that the conventional buses start again! It may be that you are concerned about getting to the pickup point in time now that your journeys are becoming so long, but we thought we would mention this facility just in case you didn’t know about it. Thanks again for your excellent work on the WCP - it has been really helpful for us. Perran and Rainy Gay

I had walked along the river, park and jail before but never around the town, loved it, some of those old streets got the imagination going, imagining how it once was, Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. All the best, Andy 👍

You did it! Pen y Fan, lovely, was up there about 30/35 years ago, much smaller car park then (maybe no car park, cannot remember?) the paths up looks very good, fairly flatish, back then, well there was probably a path of sorts, certainly with no block to walk on underfoot, but I had on heavy boots so have no idea, I went up in sunshine, but yours look so FAB even in some weather, you have captured the essence of walking up a Welsh Hill is inclement weather perfectly, the scenery looks ominous in that weather but great, I think back then everything looked great in perfect sunshine very delightful. When I did it first it all was empty! I went up again maybe 20/25 years later? and it was like Piccadilly Circus, all Wales and their dogs were on top, pity about the mist, I remember FAB views all over, I went on to the Cribyn & Fan y Big (pronounced Beeg) I was mad & young then. You have to do it when its clear, its outstanding.

Thank you. It's the first time I had done this, I did not know what to expect but found it manageable. I would love to go back on a clear sunny day as we headed down the weather cleared up. Really enjoyed it, great paths, we went early, as we came down we could see lines of people heading up the main path. It's really enjoyable. I would like to try something similar with a good path and straightforward. Thank you for watching, I hope this bought back some nice memories. All the best, Andy 👍

Hi Andy love this whole area that you captured so beautifully along with the music. We love the quiet isolation in some parts which over recent years have become a lot busier. Cute sheep looking at you! Great video as always and the weather was good for you 😃👍~ Anna

Thank you, Anna, it is a really beautiful part of the world. I was blown away by how stunning Whistling Sands was, I heard a sqeaking as I walked across the sand, I thought my boots were on the way out until I got home and read about the squeaking sound made when you walk on the sand. It was pretty quiet on our walk, and I was surprised at how quiet the beach was. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. All the best, Andy 👍

Outstanding video Webby. You have captured the sheer beauty of it perfectly. I didnt appreciate it properly when I walked it as the paths were really muddy and treacherous and its such a tricky walk and quite slow going. Peobably the most remote part of the whole path.great job and thank you for the mention. I think you will enjoy the next bit.

I enjoyed it, but I suppose we get different experiences of walking the same section due to the weather and times of year. Like the Rivals, lol. I can't wait to get back up there. It's a 3-hour drive each way now, but should soon get shorter as we head around to Pwllheli. I really enjoyed Whistling Sands, I thought my boots were on the way out with the squeaking as we walked across the sands. I did not realise it was sand itself until I read up on it when I got home. Thank you for watching, I'm glad you liked it, All the best, Webby 👍
