Hi! This got recommended to me lol but I will say, I love your review! Especially the part that got me the most is how you compared how helluva boss did a better job at establishing its characters. I’ve been a long time fan of Viv’s work, so seeing how hazbin turning out the way it did..it definitely disappointed me writing wise. The reason why I say this is actually BECAUSE of helluva boss, it follows the same 8 episode format per season. Yet somehow a side story series, that was originally meant to just be a way to expand on the lore through I.M.P, had a better pacing structure than a series that’s been in development for 4-5 YEARS. Not to mention how it handled not ONLY adding more to their cast of characters we’re supposed to be rooting for, but even properly introduced new characters as well! Granted the second season has the case of poor writing..but even still, comparing Helluva Boss to Hazbin? Helluva boss holds more weight which makes me even more upset since, again, it’s a side series that’s LITERALLY just meant to expand the lore of hell outside of the setting that Hazbin takes place. All in all, I do hope that the writing gets better in the next season, better pacing, and MORE CHARACTER MOMENTS. You clearly dont understand the show. Which is fine, but just dont watch it. You not understanding most of the plot points or characters doesnt mean it's done bad. Many MANY people like the show. It was an indy project bought by amazon ffs, they obviously did something pretty darn well. And also, i prefered the pace of hazbin to other shows, i hope more start doing this, with seasons being as short as they are these days, i dont want time wasted over explaining things i already can see from tone, setting, mood and characyer dynamics. I like that they do more showing then telling and they actually talk about carmilla quit a bit before her first appearance so if you were paying attention, you know who she is. Similar with the dead angel- quit a few discussions about it before and after.

The music is amazing? Eh i loved the old voice actors but these ones are way better.. The story still need more time to show up. I very much disagree with you on this one but well made video.

What I agree with the most is charlie and vaggie's relationship. It got so incredibly dry and boring, they had no conflict at all until the fallen angel part which lasted for like 5 seconds. And it's just them saying, "oh I love you" over and over again and it really served no purpose t the plot. They could've done so much more with it.

I really love hazbin hotel but it has a lot of problems. Specifically,the problem for me is the uhh redemption part. Dont get me wrong,What charlie plans to redeem sinners to heaven isnt wrong but the way it is executed. Charlie needs to face the fact not all sinners needs to be redeem. Sure,some sinners are in hell due to their life being screwed but some of the sinners are in hell due to them committing a very very bad sin aka making their victims life so so bad that those victims are traumatized. Even to those who offed themselves. In Islam(like me) and to Christianity,committing to suicide is a cardinal sin because God gives us things that benefited us. And god doesn't give us a choice to decided whether we should die or not. Like imagine if charlie redeems a bad sinner that should not be redeem and sent to heaven,those residents who knows that sinner as their tormentor would be literally feel uncomfortable by it

i think the writer fleshed out the world just enough for the characters to have a place to stand but it wasnt enough, as the show progresses the lore starts to fall apart cuz he is making it up on the go and didn't bother with re-reading the script beforehand.

Amaryllis got me through the whole show. She often feels unconstrained by the rest of the show like she just appeared in the story with a mind of her own and is just doing stuff without the writers being able to control her. She's the funniest character in the show, is the most nuanced, and has the most convincing character growth. It does also help that her whole bully schtick means dunking on characters I don't like.

The biggest issue with Parsley is that she runs away from her commitment to being a Smith for her family to commit to being a Smith in the same town or family lives in where they can bother her all the time

I think you're a bit too harsh on Parsley. She's definitely wasted on this show and should've been given a more comprehensive storyline but there's nothing wrong with acting the way that's been decided for you and still being unhappy with it. Parsley is the oldest sister, she basically had no childhood carrying her parents' expectations and taking care of her younger siblings when her parents were busy. Given the way her parents act, it's likely she barely ever got any freedom to make her own choices, and she grew to accept that, even though it's not making her happy. She connects with the blacksmith teacher because blacksmithing is what she does, it's one area she's confident in. This is hard to explain if you haven't been in a similar situation but I 100% understand why she would pick that course and why she would look up to that teacher even if she doesn't want to spend her whole life at the forge. It's not only what's expected of her, it's the only thing she was ever allowed to think of doing, and likely the only thing she has faith in herself in. She says herself (I think) that she never got to be a child. She never got to experience trying out different hobbies or interests. Blacksmithing is the one thing she has and even though it was never her choice, it's what she believes she likes to do.

Personally, I'm glad we're getting a new start. The trailer of the new pokemon is so interesting as well and seems to have cool storyline to it! I already like the new MCs, Liko and Roy. I can't wait to learn more about them! I honestly think people are being so hateful to something they barley know much of. I know they like Ash, but just because you like someone a LOT doesn't mean you get to be hateful towards something else and not even give it a chance. It is VALID to miss someone like Ash as people have different views, but it is NOT valid to be such a jerk towards something new that hasn't even really come out yet. I bet even after the 1st episode, people will be super hateful. I think its good to judge at least after the first 5 or 10 episodes. Either way, thats just me. I respect your opinion regardless! I just came up with an idea for the Pokémon Anime, it may turn the series to a dark direction so I just want some feedback from you guys. Other than the team rocket trio, let's say we add another team rocket character for Ash to occasionally go up against. He shall be a Rocket Admin and unlike Jessie and James, he will be more competent and his Pokémon will be so strong that he can defeat all of Ash and his companions Pokémon with relative ease. Worse, he's somewhat sadistic as he shows our heroes Pokémon NO MERCY, thereby conflicting Ash and would become good character development for Ash where he would have to face his fears against him. One example would be the Viridian Gym battle where he's the one Ash will challenge instead of the Team Rocket Trio, this time with much higher stakes (the fate of Pallet Town since he's planning to utilize the power of the 3 Kanto Bird Legendries to "destroy Pallet Town and all of Ash's dreams) similar to the Pokémon Adventures Manga. Once he's defeated, it'll be all the more victorious for Ash and to show his growth as a character. What do you think of my idea? Let me know in the comments.
