reliable placement reduces HE damage for 7.5%, does that counts arty HE shells also? Because with vents and foo, bia it can be something like 10%, if so seems kinda worth it for slow arty targets

As far as I understand this new perk system the tanks with dedicated radio operator will be at a big disadvantage, for example the German tanks. If radio operator is a secondary perk it will be trained automatically alongside the main perk. So a Commander/radio operator will have repair + BiA + sit. awareness fully trained at the same time. A radio operator only will have to decide what to train, what´s most important. I can see a lot of zero-skill-crews being a radio operator.

Armorer might be good in the new system. You never want to shoot at 10% pen chance shots so losing those is nothing. On the other hand you want to shoot 90% pen chance shots and Armorer makes those guaranteed pens

Nice and informative video :-) I don't think your right about Emergency - it says "after taking enemy damage". I think you actually have to take damage to get this buff - or at least that's how I understand it and also what the description specific says. Or else, as you mention, this buff will be insanely good on a Maus, which can just keep getting the buff when hit and constantly have 7,5% increase. I don't think thats the case or at least I don't hope so.

Recon Changed. Used to be (1-Penalty)*1.2 view range. After change (1-penalty+0.2)*1.02 view range. This is my interpretation.

this is not what this video is actually about. The people working on crew perks are not the same people who work an reworking maps for example. So its just a mental error to assume wot is wasting time doing A instead of B while in realtiy you fail to notice that A, B and in fact C til K are all in process at the same time by different units.

I'm just tired of all the tinkering and ignoring what has been asked for. Make match making more even and reduce the RNG for accuracy. Also new maps and or bring back some old maps. Instead they tinker and tinker. I am playing the game less and less. Especially since they hurt casual clans with the terrible Tour of Duty.

28:33 'Emergency' does stack with everything else. It simply doesn't stack up with itself. Everytime you take damage, the time countdown of the perk reset. EDIT: That's my understanding of it, maybe I'm wrong.

I think in onslaught, if you are using radio and jamming, you would only be spottet when you are spottet. as soon as you leave spotting range you will vanish. dont know if that is much more broken than 1 sec.

Hey Max, hope your family is ok - still sending my best wishes and crossing fingers, toes and hairs - even the ones that has started sprouting on the back since I turned 35... Regarding the radiooperator perk that increases viewrange... I'm more worried about the ELC Even 90 than the EBRs... I'm a shitty spotter - and my crew on the ELC will be maxed out.... And the ELC will meet tier VI and VII that doesn't have access to CVC.. I can't see how that is balanced to begin with, but the ELC has 900 hp and I frequently spot two or three times that, most often from early in the game.. It's NEVER going to be balanced but bye bye new players..

I think this might actually be a refreshing change to the game rather than the BS that Crew 2.0 was. Though I still think the Loader and Radio Op skills are too good in some regards. For Instance: Close Combat - Gun reload decreased by 2.5% at 50 meters or less when engaging enemy vehicles. That might win you more fights if opponents aren't packing it too Ammo Tuning - Increases minimum potential damage and potential penetration by 2% Think about how this will be for FV4005 and FV 183s Though I do think Perfect Charge is a good skill to be fair, making shell speeds better, I can think of a number of vehicles that struggle with shell speeds and that would be very beneficial, no matter the percentage increase! Radio Operator: Radio Expert - Increases crew efficiency by 2.5% after reaching or going above your HP value in spotting assist. A good reward for a decent LT player, if you can spot for your team and get more assistance than your HP then you just get more view range, more camo and more of everything you have trained. Most likely going to be a Must Have perk if this goes to Live Server, a light tank without out it will have to put more work in, than not. Jamming - Reduces the time your vehicle is spotted by 1 second. Not a drastic change from Crew 2.0 but still 1 second less unless enemies are using Radio Set equip Signal Interception - Decreases the time before sixth sense goes off by 0.5 seconds. Pair this with the Directive and you halve that time to 1.5 seconds (Directive shaves off 1 second) Powerful item if you're in a Manti or something that needs the extra time to be aware. These are the only perks that are interesting enough to talk about. Commander perks, Gunner perks and Driver perks aren't all that interesting outside of Engineer on the Driver which gets you +1/-1 to forward and reverse speeds, so if you have a Bounty II turbo you could just get the perk and have a fake Bond Turbo lol All in all an interesting setup from WarGaming, wonder how these will effect gameplay and if it'll be any good. How's your family btw Max, any roads to recovery?

I like the new system, some of the new perks needs a little nerfing like the 7.5% (vents) for 15s after damage seems a bit overpowered. Overall, it's a nice change to smaller crews.

The secondary training for tanks like the Manticore, for example, still leave tanks with a small crew deficient. Tanks with more crew members will still be able to acquire many more crew perks. This helps a bit, but you have to wait for the primary skills to develop, before accessing all the secondary skills. A good step, but incomplete

Not really. If you have a separate radio operator, you need to him to be trained with BiA, Camo and Repair as well. That left 3 slots to pick anything else. However with a Commander with Radio sub-qualification you only need to train BiA,Camo and Repair on his main qualification, that also left 3 open slots on his Radio qualification. So the amount of skills you get is the same (unless you decide that you don't need Camo,BiA Repair on 1 crew member so you can getting more new skils)

I do see an issue with this system. Tanks with a Commander, Gunner, Driver, Loader and Radio operator can have up to 30 skills in total. Tanks with 4 members can have 27, 3 members have 26. 2 members have a maximum of 21. This means tanks with larger crews will have an advantage in the number of perks you can have.
