Titanium 125 amp from Harbor Freight, I have 3 of them. I got them when on sale and figured one would have quit by now as much as I use them. Still going strong and 2 in the box for backup. I probably ran 50 spools of wire through this machine and never any gas to help! Great welder!

He had it at the toy store and they gave it back charging him almost $1000 and it quit less than mile down the road. When I open the carb it looked like biggest half ass clean because they coulddn't get the float out. I stuck with it for 30 minutes and finally got the pin out and got the nastyness out of that sucker! He never got to ride the thing really till brought it to me after owning it a couple years.

At about 23 seconds you say 5 or 7 thousands, that's actually the range. Having them tighter makes it harder to suck in fuel and air on the intake valve and harder to push out exhaust with the exhaust valve. Valve gaps typically get tighter, not looser. So it's best to set to the upper range.
@kartguy
@kartguy 2 ай бұрын
Yes that's the acceptable range buddy. The tighter they are the more they open, if its loose they open less. In some engines you just want it open enough to suck air/fuel and it run optimal, but like this v-twin some bigger gulps help! Valves always rattle loose or wear themselves down way more often than a tight valve.
@kartguy
@kartguy 2 ай бұрын
Every small engine I work on I have to re adjust valves they are always super loose barely opening the intake or exhaust. The ltz 400 I just got has bucket valves and it was so loose it was 10x over adjustment its on newer video. It was worst I ever seen and they were buckey valves.

You can shave some out of the intake where the reed cage goes and quite a bit out of the exhaust. About a year ago I took this fully built and ported a Chinese jug and stock piston from the under skirts, intake and the exhaust a bunch and been running it a year with all the other mods. It performs damn near as good as the big bore did!

Keep up the good work. If in North west mn, come for a drag race. 😉

As I'm fairly new to this quad I wouldn't go much more than recommended a pipe and tune. This is the BigGun ES pipe and carb was jetted for the pipe. Couple videos back I did some minor port work and more polishing on the head and reamed a valve stem out, and couple other head things like adjusting the valves to tightest setting. Greetings from the U.S.A. buddy let me know what you think of doing and I can recommend normal atv things. As in to buying a stage 2 or 3 kit for this it would not be worth it in the end you wont make any more really on the quad and parts cost dear, but if its for your pleasure then I would go for a stage 3 kit. Bigger cams, better springs all the goodies!
