No way in the world can you fit by the short or the long edge by tapping the tongue into the groove, you'd destroy a board even using the softest of wood blocks. The only way you can get them to lock is inserting fully locked lengths (by the short edge) into the last laid boards, holding them at 45 degrees, then pushing/tapping into position. Not a product I'd be recommending to anybody. I've had better results with cheaper laminates.

@@seethroughlife1481 I plane the little lip off the tongued piece so you can slide them together without having to lift one. I glue them and tape across them until it goes off. I’m guessing you’ve already worked something out though?

We recommend installing with the foil side down. The foil side is the vapor barrier that will prevent moisture from coming up from the subfloor.
