Beware of Chinese lamps, fire screens etc. They are poorly constructed with inferior quality supplies. Very thin copper foil, thin glass and the solder is not as pure as what we have in North America. In China they pay workers very little to have them produced so the items are put together to look good but not made to last. Some have been known to use black caulking between the pieces of glass so will not hold up over time and gravity. Look closely at the solder lines and they are often flat and not nice rounded seams. The copper foil is in many cases is not centred which weakens the structure. Just know that you get what you pay for and expect them to fail at some point instead of lasting a generation. Enjoyed your video though on the repair.

He is not over fed, Sissy who died 3 weeks before her 19th birthday. Both ate the same amount of food, she never weighed more than 5.5 pounds. Her entire life. Both came out of certain death from abuse. I actually feel much worse for a pet, because a child can speak up. A cat just like an elderly person is vulnerable to horrible, evil people. Anyway ElCucho’s veterinarian never said he needed to lose weight. She gave him a perfect bill of health. However, she did have the tech do a horrible job of de~matting him with electric clippers. I brush him daily, and do not understand the problem with his mats. I have bought and tried everything you could possibly imagine. I’m at a total empass I have bought every comb, brush, even a large tooth human comb. If you or any of your followers have any idea what I can do. I would greatly appreciate it. Wow, this is an amazing video! We have a kitty I adopted from the ASPCA and she is terrified of going into a carrier. She has 2 little matted hair tufts. I was so happy that a 3rd tuft of matted hair just fell off! I may just try this little razor. Thank you so much for this video! I will check it out if you have any other videos such as getting a kitty into a carrier when the kitty is incredibly fearful.

Hi Kim, I just got myself 1 dragonfly lamp shade with a few damaged pieces at the base. On careful inspection, there is no reinforcement wire for the base and that is why the damages occurred. How do I remove the broken pieces and installed a reinforcement wire for the base?

Why didn’t you replace the base cap. It was bent when the wind caught it and broke the pieces out . Probably fell against the wall

Omg. Best video ever my cat is having a flea problem and found out that she has a matted fur on her stomach but she doesn't like to be touched but lately cuz of the fleas she knows im helping her she is kind of letting me touched her so i tried the scissors but is to dangerous their skin is very special . So this nasty fleas are living on it and feeding from her and . Im taking care of the fleas but with this matted fur i can't do much cuz so i was looking and looking for videos and from all of them i think this is going to be the best idea. Thank you so much for this tip.

I'm so glad I found your video. I have these, and I purchased them from Amazon I also spotted them in Walmart.

Good morning from florida. Friends tiffany style 10lb hanging lamp was brought to me for repair. I have never done stained glass lamps, only panels since 1993. The top ring of glass pieces was becoming detached. This was made by someone named Niela in 1991. Lilly pond pattern. The inside had a brass bar soldered to both sides of the first glass seam but on one side it was done correctly but the bar was not long enough and was soldered to a gap filled with solder on the other and was pulling apart. I have removed all the loose glass, cleaned, rewrapped, and soldered it back on. There is a steel wire around the very top soldered in. I reinforced 2 seams where I could with flat copper 1/4" bands wrapped over the top wire. My problem is finding another brass bar that is longer 5 3/8" long to solder in to be the support. I'd rather find a ventilated brass disk. the vent cap was not attached to the lamp at all. I could also use 2 brass bars 0.065" thick criss crossed. I just need to source them and can't seem to find any. I have copper bar to use but it is too flexible. I could also get a smaller heat cap and solder it to the top ring, the heat cap on this is too large for the hole. advice? Thank you so much!!!
