Hi! I don't know how to sew, I don't do cosplay, and I'm not entirely sure why your video showed up in my feed, other than that I probably watched a few Stormlight Archive videos a long time ago. Having said all that, you're hilarious and the video completely captivated me for the duration. I now have a desire to learn to sew so I can fulfill the dream I didn't know I had of dressing up as -poised and beautiful Jasnah- errrr Kaladin. Yeah Kaladin of course.

That is so incredibly sweet, let me know if you end up sewing some cosplay stuff, I'd love to see it!

”I am a fortune.” ”But you could be fire!” ”... I am a fortune.” Being serious, that's a really cool costume, love the cloak details, and all the stormlight references through the video were excellent

Well, I didn't have "Jasnah doing the Floss" on my Bingo card for this week, so that's on me I guess. Great work though, the dress turned out really good, and even though I don't know jack about... dressmakery... the video was fun to watch throughout. It blows my mind how long this thing looks to have taken, and my hat is off to you and your tenacity for seeing it through!

Storms, I love the costume! Your passion for the books is evident. Do you plan on doing any other cosmere costumes?

Thank you so much! Yeah for sure; eventually I want to do Shallan's havah from the Rhythm of War cover, a mistcoat, and probably a mistcloak as well

I like gears on my steampunk but I don't like them when it makes no sense for the owner to have/use them. I have a ringmaster character who has tiny watch gears for her sequence on her top. And since she flys around in an airship and deals with clockwork items it made sense to me to have her use broken gears to add some sparkle to her outfit. I really like your idea that it's a lower class fashion trend, but about the lace... What's to say your person did not pull it from a ruined shirt she found...or two.
@samremwright76583 жыл бұрын
Nice!! And that does stand to reason, lace is unnecessarily expensive so I usually do just repurpose it from old clothes xD
