I'm having a hard time kicking off to start my rides. The board doesn't give me enough time to gain balance. Should I tighten up the steering damper? At this point I need another person to lean on, or I've used a Cane to balance for take off. I keep trying to kick off to start my ride, but I'm spending more time picking myself up off the ground and as I'm 61 I'm getting pretty sore after each day of trying.

How much resistance do you feel if you push the board by foot? Or to ask differently-do you feel it "breaking" when you stop pressing the throttle? How good is the acceleration-you tried many boards, what can you compare it to?

Serious question, when pushing manually do the wheels spin as freely as a normal board or is it kind of slow?

I'm guessing its slow not because of the wheels but cuz of the weight. The board is heavy due to the battery and stuff, which makes it hard to accelerate but you'd probably get good speed down a hill

Ok so no they arent as easy to kick . weight had nothing to do with. 200kg on standard board vs e board weight has very little to do with it. its the resistance of the motors cause it harder to push. If its a motor in wheel its easier then a belt or gear drive . Hope that gives you a true answer.

I am pretty sure it is illegal in my state as well, but I rode mine on the sidewalk, on the bicycle lane, on the road, on the parking lot, on the f*cking grass, in front it of the police and park rangers, and at night as well. No one seems to care.
