I've replaced the dome lights in my 2011 jetta and they don't completely shut off. Is this common ?

Great video, but does not cover the E61 rear reading lamps (different from the E60 rear console) E61 rear reading lamps are on each side, above the door jambs. They are a B to remove

Now I see why people are keen in swapping out their headlight units entirely to LED. By the time you completely swap out the blubs and cut open the dust covers, you might as well spend the money and get a modern headlight with the LED built in.

Beware of the licence plate assembly. It is incredibly difficult to fish out and get back in. Mine fell in the space between the bumper and the car body. Had to use a coat hanger in order to retrieve it. Only took 2 hours. 😢

You don't need to remove the liner! Just turn the wheel and turn the plastic nut left on the square dust covers for the headlight and fog lights. You only need a flat screwdriver or use a dime! Then turn the covers either direction out of your way. You'll have access without removing any screws.

I used to video to install purple leds I bought and now the dome lights and backseat lights work turn on when u click them idk what I did wrong
