How does this work at the timer? With it being variable speed obviously the timer isn't needed anymore, but with the salt system being installed you'll need the timer to be able to shut it off when the pump isn't running. That's why I watched this video, was hoping to find an answer if you could help :)

Hello, what if there is no “flow” light at all, but everything else is green? Is that normal ?
@ChlorineKingPoolService13 минут бұрын
Yes that is normal!

I did this method because I happen to still have my old cell so I used it as dummy but when I turned chlorinator on withacting cell in bucket of pool water, the display would only read “hot” then “cold” and generating light would only flash. I would appreciate any reply you may have.
@ChlorineKingPoolServiceКүн бұрын
Did you give the system a minute to run? Was the “flow” light flashing?
@garybostick7784Күн бұрын
The flow light had stopped flashing. I actually did it twice just to make sure I did it right. Then when I removed the dummy and put the active cell back in the system the window displayed 2700 ppm.
@ChlorineKingPoolService6 сағат бұрын
@@garybostick7784 Are you plugging the old cell in? The idea is to keep the cell you're testing plugged in and putting that in the bucket of water. You are only using the dummy cell to run the system and not lose water so the flow switch can be activated. I hope that makes sense.
@garybostick77843 сағат бұрын
Yes, I followed the video step by step, even double checking myself. It seems to be intermittently working, I’m going to clean it again and retry later this week. The numbers it gives are sporadic. Had this salt system for 12 years and changed the circuit board 2 years ago it went bad, and this cell is 2 years old also.
@user-er1gy2vg8k2 күн бұрын
With the equipment in the video not having a heater and the element was removed from the filter I'll say that's good but I did notice the salt cell and all that cal-hypo going through it I'm sure shortened the life of the cell maybe even had scaling after a while. Pool shock directly in the skimmer as I've been taught for 10 years is a big no no. Only cya in the skimmer with the basket present when adding. Not saying it won't work but in the long run not a good practice imo.

hey so its been almost 1 year since I started servicing pools, however, what actual experience do I need for a c53 license? Assuming I don't have bachelors to cut down the time? I just need to know if I need to actually have experience in building pools. Can I just use the experience for servicing pools?

I teated my salt cell t15 and it works. I have no free chlorine this year. I keep adding stabilizer and nothing seems to wprk for my water to hold chlorine more than 3 days. Is my mother board on my hateard aquarite bad? I only see power light on. I flip to super chlorinate and no light. I hit diagnostic button amd only number i see is temp and volts. All other number are 0. Screen numbers do move. Any help?

That salt came from us at SCP 👀 😊 I know splash isn’t the best quality, it seems to have a lot of trash in it and clumps up constantly.. But it gets the job done! We have two truck loads of aqua salt in the yard at the moment and one truck load of splash, first in first out, sorry service guys!

Hello and thanks for the informative video! I’m doing 50 pools and currently using the hammerhead 90% of the time and system vac the rest. The operation of dismounting the HH vac, switching it on, re-mounting and rolling up the cord is really seamless and simple. Is the riptide similar in this way? It looks like it could be kind of awkward but can’t find videos for reference. I’m seriously considering a riptide thanks for any help or insight 🙌🏻🤙🏻

All is perfect, except my brand new multiport valve is leaking from the very top / handle!!?? Any thoughts on what could possibly be wrong with a brand new, sealed product in box?

Might be a dumb question, but if you have enough slack at the junction box, couldn't you just swap the light itself and not have to pull all of the cable the whole way? Or is this done to ensure the electrical taped area comes out and you only have the uncut cord in the conduit?
@ChlorineKingPoolServiceАй бұрын
You can splice anything with the light with the wiring/splice being under water. I hope that makes sense.

Hi Eric I went out to check a jandy salt system today said 80 percent standby any causes for that I reset it and it seems to be working the cell started bubbling so I assume it was making chlorine I don't know a lot about jandy I'ma Hayward fan forced to work with pentair
@ChlorineKingPoolServiceАй бұрын
Hey bud. Standby is basically “off” so if you hit the power button and the display read “chlorinating” then you’re good. If you saw the call bubbling it was definitely working!

Tip from retired electrician uncle. Always use a new wire nut. I argued with him and asked “why?” His answer was classic. “You never want to get a call back to a job for a .19 cent wire nut” I now always replace wire nuts after I take them off in any job unless I came without new ones.

Wish our pool builder would have given us 3 choices of pumps. Cheap, medium and expensive. Instead he was a GREAT “slick salesman” charged $160,000 for a pool and put pool pad right outside master bedroom bed window so all night long I listen a LOUD surging pump. I wasn’t involved in the process, as the lady wanted to run the job. Now I’m stuck with finding the solution. I like the variable pump, sounds like a good choice for saving $. Is there a quieter pump or a way to attenuate sound away from house you could recommend? I thought about new pump and moving equipment 15 feet over so it’s not right out window by my pillow. 😂

I put something like this together and I’m having trouble getting a prime on it. I don’t have a switch just a plug. Do you think there’s a way to make a second step so that I can build a prime up.
@ChlorineKingPoolServiceАй бұрын
Are you priming the hose up? One thing you can do is keep the vac head just below the level of the water so the pump has an easier time pulling water to it versus from the bottom of the pool. Did you choose an in ground pump or above ground pump?
@operationmexikillАй бұрын
@@ChlorineKingPoolService that’s a great tip. I’m pretty sure I bought an above ground but I’ll have to check my manual. I was thinking of adding a section of pipe that could hold some water before attaching the vacuum hose.

Conflicting statements.." if it’s organic just shock the pool and keep the chlorine elevated"..............".It works for every kind of stain? Anything organic or metallic it should take care of it" Leaves are organic, so it need chlorine/ high alkaline not acid
