The idea that new pythons are held to a 9 lb da pull is laughable. My new python has by far the heaviest sa and da pull of my Smith and ruger collection. It's sa pull averages 6.6 lbs and the da averages 11.1 lbs. Bear in mind my new python is 2 weeks old and this video was made over 4yrs ago.

I went to one of my local gun shops to pick up a new blued Python. PLEASE explain to me why Colt put the gawd awful QR code on the side of the gun. It's very tacky looking and completely unnecessary IMHO. Most of my collection is earlier Colts but I do have some current production models too. On my newer 1911's I found the QR code hidden under the mainspring housing, completely out of sight. I'd rather they weren't there at all but they are, but at least I don't have to look at them every time I shoot them. I am glad that you brought back the blued Pythons, but as long as the QR code is stuck on the side of the new versions, absolutely ruining the beautiful looks of the gun, I will stick with my early guns

I bought one of these. The DLC finish just rubbed off like crazy I didn’t even fire it and it was pealing. I sent it back to Colt and they took 5 months to send it back and they just changed the frame but it was still pealing in other areas. I think the DLC coating was flawed maybe this is why Colt discontinued this gun.

More talk and less instruction. Funny how the best DIYs have the least, or sometimes, no talking.

It's a good solution to a problem that doesn't really exist. For the price of the adapter, if you can find one, you're half way to purchasing a lower half.

Nice pistol, I wished I own one like it. I would only shoot light Target reloads that I make.

About to get a nickel plated slide with better sights than I have(gi sights I actually shoot good with them but wont hurt) will have to put all my stuff into the new slide. It would cost me probably 500 to get it refinished and to get new sights. $180 for a stripped slide.

It's obviously fixed paralax. So I must ask... What distance is the paralax setting fixed at? 50 yards? 100 yards? 150 yards?

Lessons learned the hard way: Fact 1: If you so much as take the side plate off, you void the warranty. Fact 2: If you attempt to buff out a scratch in the finish, you void the warranty. Fact 3: Colt does not sell parts to their revolvers. On their website, if you select Accessories > Parts, the website points you to Midway USA and Brownells (both of which have a pathetically limited selection).

We Love what Colt is doing with the Python and Anaconda. Maybe a Reintroduction of the Diamondback in a .357 frame capable of handling a light diet of Buffalo bore 180 grain hard cast outdoorsman load with a 4 inch barrel. Thank you and Best Wishes from Montana! M.H.
