The game's population has been making a comeback lately with the addition of Firefight, it was relatively high on Xbox most played games list recently. Also I think the last thing this game needs is a battle royale mode. Not every game needs to conform to mainstream gaming trends especially when the battle royale genre is already so oversaturated.

The last time I played Halo Multiplayer was Reach back in 2012. I tried to with Halo 4, but found it was trash and didn't play multiplayer after that. Now, almost 12 years later, I find myself playing Multiplayer again with Infinite. Is it perfect? Hell no. But it's as close to Reach Multiplayer as I can remember and that was peak Halo. There's no needing to level up to get better weapons to curb stomp lower ranks, buffs for more experienced players , anything like that. It's honestly not bad. It could be better imo. They could bring back assassinations, nerf the hammer back a little, and bring in SWAT and some of the OG maps. But overall, i think it's fun and a move in the right direction

If I'm not wrong SWAT (tactical slayer) is a rotating playlist, as it comes back for a week and then leaves its place to another playlist for the next week. It's done to have a healthier player base on the least popular playlists. I may just be wrong as I never play it. You also might have not found it as its new name is tactical slayer and not SWAT.

Seems like you had a fun time playing it, is what happened to Halo Infinite. What's with the title? I feel like the game is making a comeback, personally, and is better than it ever has been. A few kinks to iron out like the latency issues, but it's been pretty fun in the second half of 2023.

Nice video! One of the few to come up for the original game when I was looking for some beginner tips. Going back in time to try some games I never played, this game plays great on the Steam Deck. btw, fwiw this is one of the few GC games with proper 16:9 as an option (no zooming or weird stretching). You change it inside the game options and then you need to adjust the aspect ratio under General in Dolphin to 'stretch to window'.
