I got back into iRacing after a 6 year break, just in time for season 2 and have done all the Skippy races so far, Only one more race to go at Tsukuba and the end of the season ! Not sure what I will race in season 3 yet, probably stay with the skippy as the race line up looks good. Been great fun, and good to be back, maybe catch you on track some time ;o/)

Hey man, so jealous you get to experience this for the first time! How does it look in the headset? I tried the free vorpx vr mod, and even on fully maxed out settings, it did not look good in the headset, and I went back to playing flatscreen. Made me a bit nauseous (which I don't get with proper vr games). Not sure if it's worth paying for Luke's version if it's going to be pretty similar experience.

Hey bud. I tried both vorpx and Luke ross’ mod. By a long way like ross’ mod is just better. Even on low graphic settings and middling resolution the world is just so incredibly immersive. Obviously, can’t have all the goodies like rat tracing and ultra graphics but honestly, the atmosphere and immersion more then makes up for it and it still looks gorgeous! Also, no motion control support with Luke Roos mod but I wouldn’t want it to be honest. Too much going on to be waving my arms around too. I’d recommend grabbing the mod, even just paying for a month on Patreon. Let me know if you plan on diving in!

@metzVR damn you were right, thanks man! I'm now playing Luke Ross's version and it's night and day better than vorpx. Wish I'd tried it before, I'm about 70% through this playthrough now 🤦 haha

I had to give up. Although I lasted a lot longer than the VorpX mod, I still got nauseous after a while. I just don't think I'm cut out for non-native Vr. (Such a shame considering it's one of the big reasons I bought a nearly £3000 PC! Lol)

Hiya, I use a game pad. Like Ross mod doesn’t have motion controller support. To be honest I think I’d struggle with motion controls in this game. Much prefer the game pad. Kb/mouse also an option.

Watching the playback of this is awful, apologies for the choppiness, i was tinkering with settings and the mirror resolution wasn't the same as in previous streams. I've now figured out how to record in OBS NOT using the mirror and playback should be better going forward. the quality of the stream does improve further forward!

I'll be doing my first stream this evening. it feels incredibly immersive, obviously, visually nowhere near as stunning as flatscreen with all the bells and whistles but still, even on low graphics settings, in VR it is really, really amazing.

I alo bought it at lauch. I started playing it but I hate flat games so much I just set it aside. Yeah, I'm also hooked. I've just started playing this game using Luke Ross mod. At first it looked terrible on my Quest 3. Then I realized the you can adjust the pixel density (ppd). I set it to 26.0 with my in game resolution it gives me a 4000x4000 something like that resolution. And I press "adapt." I also had to turn off surface reflections because they looked bad. No ray tracing. A mix of medium low and high settings. dlss performance. ambient occlusion off.

Preem vid, Choom. I run 1080Ti: 60fps on 2100 resolution, medium settings. It's grainy, but good. My only recommendation when using Luke Ross's mod is to go to menu, hit both triggers to open Luke Ross settings and go to RENDER MODE. You'll have the option to choose between 1/2, 1/3 and Legacy AER. Choose LEGACY AER if you are getting low frames and you'll be set. Now wake up! You got a city to burn.

i'm going to start my playthrough tomorrow, i'll do a benchmark at different resolutions before the playthrough starts and you can make your own mind up. even with low graphic settings Night City looks bloody awesome!

From what I know about ACC, max wing is normally best on most tracks. I think max wing and raise the rear of the car to control the balance of the car (higher rear will give less understeer and better turn in) Least that is how it was when I used to play a fair bit. Not sure if know that, just seen you going lower wing at Silverstone.

Does this bug affect the real TC and ABS on those cars that have it, or just the global aids (that you mapped in the video) that apply to all cars?

It's only ever happened to me once but there have been countless times that racers in my lobbies have encountered this bug. easiest just to map a button to the relevant aids and if they disappear in a lobby, these should re-activate them.

@@metzVR Yes, but does it affect both types or only one/the generic aids? In other words, if realistic settings are used by the server (no aids), but the cars that are in the race have authentic TC and/or ABS, could this bug still occur to the best of your knowledge?

Well, I bought AMS 2 when it was on sale and I like it very much. I don't do IRacing because I hate subscriptions on games, plus I don't have the time to make it worth while. Now with the Content manager for AMS 2 and all the updates, this game is very enjoyable along with my other SIM racing games on STEAM.

that sounds like you might need to invert the ffb my friend. mine was the same until i inverted ffb.

great video and thank you so much! my problem with my R5 is, that i can't get rid of that "deadzone on a straight" you mention. in every lap there comes a point where my wheel feels "light" and i can move my wheel left to right without any movement and then suddenly the steering is back and i completely miss the corner entry. it just feels really weird and forza is no fun like this. i don't have any problems in titles like AC, ACC or F123. i really regret buying the R5 because with my old logitech G29, i hat no problems at all in forza motorsport :(

These settings are nice. Subscibed and liked! I was running very different setting before but managed to match my top 5% nordschleife rivals time in 2 laps with these and much less effort. Definately think I can go quicker with these settings. Thanks for sharing.

so, what are your camera settings that will help eliminating the sliding sensations. I am driving the same Mcl720S gt3 evo .. gen 2 .. same as yours but in SPA .. I like but I do feel a bit ..tiny bit .. sliding if I compare with rF2 .. against ACC I like AMS better .. I tried the same car in ACC, same track and even there it slides all over .. but in rF2 I feel the tiers more connected to the road .. so, I am really interested into you camera settings .. PLEASE
