I’m curious my shackles on the front of my jeep are reverse than what you show on your install does it make a difference? And if so what would the difference be?
@DaysofPainandVictory
@DaysofPainandVictory 9 күн бұрын
most manufacturers orient them to bend towards the leaf spring, and the reasoning is to have more clearance for the shackle at the frame. Sometimes this unnecessary depending on how your mounts are designed and attach to the frame. As far as ride/capability, doesn’t really matter, the bolt to bolt measurement on the shackle is fixed.

I bought a cheap metric china set, nearly complete (bought a 15mm wrench for $4 to complete set, and a pair of knipex alligators), totaled up under $200 in tools to have a complete wrench kit for the car. Inlcludes a filter wrench, and electrical kit. Solves 99% of problems on cars '99 or older. I also ride with a full set of accessories for the fan belt (minus AC), extra belt, plugs, coil, and more. Lol Can't be too careful keeping murphey away.

I guess a few math things to add. $75 for china kit, $4 15mm wrench, $50 knipex pliers 10 and 7 inch pair, $30 multimeter, $25 Hammer and chisel, plus $15 for a file, some cheap Sandpaper and a set of brushes.

That is not a marine grade starter.... a marine grade starter is identical to the one you pulled out. That's why there is a solid copper connector going to the starter and not braded wire. Also the starter is completely sealed from vapor so it does not cause a fire when trying to start after running on the lake. Just letting you know is all. Happy boating. Be safe😊
