I love the cleaning paste. I have used it before to clean the kitchen range hood at my mom's house (years of grime build up) and it worked wonderful but indeed you need vinegar for it to work on removing grease. I just moved to an apartment with very dirty shower tiles, I'm going to try it there!

As I get older, I feel the need more and more to keep things clean. Part of that is finding ways to make cleaning tolerable for me, cause if something is gross to clean, like the sink strainer, I don't want to do it. So I got some disposable sink drain nets so that I don't have to touch anything gross or scrub the strainer (cause stuff would get stuck in the holes all the time). Instead, I can just grab the edge of the net and pull it out and throw it straight into the trash, no real cleanup required. Super big life saver lol

I’ve been making my own laundry detergent for almost a year now! (Since around November of last year!) and it has been great! I use 4 ingredients (washing soda, baking soda, Epsom salt and sea salt!) and if the load is in need of a little extra cleaning I add a splash of vinegar! I’m currently using up my current cleaning products but plan to do more simple and streamlined products to make it not only easier but safer for our house since we have little ones. Constant recalls on food and other things have definitely made me aware and weary of what we bring into our home and put into our bodies! I don’t but makeup truly, last time I bought any was for my wedding last year and before that, years. I’ve honestly berated throwing most of it out (which is a small hand bag with maybe 10 or less items) because of how little I actually use it. Cerave facial wash and lotion is my only skin care routine Those are just a few areas we’ve already simplified the past few years!

It’s definitely helped to brighten, but I think it’s mainly because the mixture of the paste with vinegar-based spray helps to lift dirt from the grout! 🙌🏽

What do you use for your toilet and bathtub?
@HaleyVillena
@HaleyVillena 2 күн бұрын
We don’t have a tub, just a shower so I use the cleaning paste and all purpose spray. For regular maintenance of the toilet I use the all purpose spray. For deeper cleans I use a hydrogen peroxide soak.

Please do not use vinegar on any type of stone. Granite, quartz, travertine, marble..etc. it will etch the finsh and dull the look of the stone. Please use dish soap. Do not dust the stone as well it will scratch the finish because of the debris it has in it. This comes from a professional cleaner who takes care of homes that have high-end textiles.

I definitely agree with the Swedish dish cloths! We have similar sponge cloths in India and they work wonders! So easy to use and maintain✨ And for gift wrapping, instead of wrapping them, I just use a fancy paper bag that can be reused and looks good while giving, will try the cloth idea as well.

About those Adidas shoes, I find it helps to make blanket decisions about whole categories of things. About 20 years ago, I decided that I find sneakers, any kind of them, trainers, sports shoes... whatever they happen to be called at the place and moment you are, well, ugly. So I made a blanket decision that regardless of trends and fashions, I would never buy any unless I really needed them for the technical purpose of doing sports, and then I would either buy ethically sourced made in Europe ones (where I live), or just the cheapest I could find, depending on my budget at the time. I have stuck to that. Sometimes I was tempted. Sometimes I wanted the comfortable side of them, and it forced me to find other kinds of shoes that are equally comfortable. But I have stuck to it. And it has probably saved me a few thousand € over the years.

In our family the giftwrap is a part of the present! We open our gifts carefully and use our favourite pieces again and again. Can very much recommend! I makes gift wrappings so much more thoughtful, personal and "hyggelig" + also saves waste :)

I moved half a year ago and got rid of a bunch of stuff before moving. Now I'm starting a new job soon and have bought some new clothes that suit me better and are appropriate for the office. I'm going to declutter again, because I just feel like I have matured a lot in the last six months and some of these clothes feel like the old university me. Not that I'm getting rid of everything that super casual, but I don't need so many crop tops. I also own so many leggings that I wore a lot for like half a year, but then I stopped doing so much yoga and started climbing, for which I much prefer lose pants. it's honestly a shame I have like 6 pairs I never really wear. I also learned a lot more about my body type and what suits me, which helps a lot in figuring out what to buy and why I don't wear certain items. have broad shoulders, so leggings with a baggy shirt is not a good look on me for example.

I deleted TikTok a few days ago and Instagram and Facebook today. No more scrolling and ignore my favourite hobbys 😭🖤 I was often so depressed because of all this scrolling and looking at the videos/pictures (with texts) which fit my mood... That was always so dangerous. Today I were outside for a walk and I didn't touched my phone once. I am free now and want to love my new life.

Changed to fabric tissues. I have rhinitis, so I'm blowing my nose constantly. So I started using my childhood ones, and when my grandma passed away, I added hers to my "collection." I love it. Way less waist, less money spent, and I wash them in the machine. All good 😊
