Thank you Dan for sharing your footage from this sad incident. Yes, this is truly a sad day for Copenhagen and Denmark. The Dragon Spire was said to protect the building against "enemy violence, and fire". It seems that yesterday 16th April 2024 that protection ran out. Børsen had a major resaturation going on. I think the fire started when changing the roof. Børsen was to celebrate its 400 years anniversary this september 2024. Børsen housed many objects of cultural value to Denmark and our history. Quite so. Creative destruction has been the way of NYC since the Revolutionary War when so much of it burned.

My mistake. I forgot about the 5 Pointz graffiti art place. Oddly enough, I do recall seeing a tv news story a few months ago about that place being torn down.... Oh, well. Another piece of New York City history bites the dust in the name of progress.

Dude, this is Hunter's Point in Queens. The old 5 Points Neighborhood is in lower Manhattan in what is now mainly Chinatown.
