I didn't even think there was a better quality version of this track, but there you go again with this hot shit. This definitely sounds like something that would have worked on the album itself, or even as a B-side to one of the singles. All the instruments sound better, there's no clipping or obnoxious fuzziness in the background...great work bringing this one to light. Thanks! 👍

Thematically it reminds me of the Sparks song All You Ever Think About Is Sex, which was from the album In Outer Space but not far removed from Pulling Rabbits Out Of A Hat. Since Boingo and Sparks were both still active and fundamentally LA-based bands at that time, I can see why Danny might have chosen other tracks in favor of this clear homage. It's a great song though!

I love Oingo Boingo Tapes for collecting so many different Oingo Boingo remasters, demos, unreleased song and material of the Mystic Knight of the Oingo Boingo. Thank you for your effort into getting all of us hooked on to even the most obscure Oingo Boingo material! Also, that bass solo goes CRAZY

This is such a nuanced take on the track's overall sound, and it totally works. I still feel both mastered versions are phenomenal, but wow the emotion I felt again leading into that final chorus was powerful here.

It turned out a lot subtler difference in the end as I dialled it back a bit to not sound too artificially changed, but think it helps the vocals and guitar a little

@@rootbeer5356 Nope. Just trying my hand at improving the leaked copy of this track to share more love of Oingo Boingo. Only coat tails we’re all riding is UMG’s, as they sadly won’t release the track.

@@OingoBoingoTapes And Danny Elfman himself as well, debatably more him than UMG to some degree. I think OBFM and dare I say, UMG themselves would've been content with releasing this alongside other outtakes. I mean, didn't you say Danny has denied these tapes existing? I personally don't get Danny's way of viewing his past works with Boingo as he seems to be fine with releasing demos of his scores works (see: Nightmare Before Christmas), but that's probably just an artists thing. I'll happily take whatever we were able to get from Rubellan, even in the probability that he legally wasn't allowed to.

@@Delsagen I think the OP was saying I was riding Rubellan Remasters by reuploading this track, but the only one with any rights to the track is UMG and I put time into carefully remixing this so not just reuploading for the sake of it. Yes sadly Danny wasnt interested in having these released so UMG didnt out of courtesy.
