I'd like to see how it's wired so you don't have to keep shutting the motor off to have the ram come back. I like the fact the motor just stays running while splitting. It's gotta be easier on the motor instead of starting and stopping continuously.

@@kdweld8234 I believe that it's a late 50's, early 60's. Bought it for $200 from an old friend that was losing his sight around 20 years ago. It's mounted on a modified boat trailer and cranks off 24volts.

It’s not bad but A Lincoln SA 200 is better This little inverter doesn’t really work for 6010 they say there 6010 friendly but not very good for 6010 6011 is ok

It’s a 15 amp breaker The mini welder has 110 and a 230 volt ok You can’t weld 1/8 for a long time it will trip the breaker. You can use 3/32 rod with 110v for small jobs ok hope this helps you thanks for sharing

I'm not sure my 10t tractor driven log splitter would split that. It's a big old round and firs are fibrous so they don't split easy. Also, I think I'd be wearing steel toe capped work boots for that job! It only had to slip once and your toes would have been in trouble!

I split rounds like that with a falling axe. Straight grain they pop nice! Cut, and split (by hand) 4 pickup loads in a day. Hamstrings were hurting the next day!! Memories of working on the Mt. Hood at the Clackamas ranger station in the late 80s (fire crew).

These little inverters tend to run a bit hot, so trial and error is a must. They often also lack the voltage to drive 6010, but 6011 seems to wok OK.
