@@ashleyeve6641 A variety of coffee shops. You can also try it with lavender. That tastes pretty good as well.

@@ashleyeve6641lol I want to be a full time nurse, I do have worries tho. For example, if I ever have kids I’m afraid I won’t have time for them and I’ll miss important things in their life. Also im afraid that the deaths will be too much for me and be too worn out when I get home and have to take care of my kids. What are your thoughts on this?

How does your workout schedule work with work? I love working out and kinda feel like I won’t have time for it once I join the medical field
@ashleyeve6641Ай бұрын
I completely understand this! I usually give myself about 1 to 1.5 weeks to adjust to my work schedule when having a new job. Then I try to see where I'd be able to fit working out into my schedule. Ideally I try to go to the gym the same time every day I go, but that doesn't always work with my schedule. I have to be flexible and go when I can (which sometimes means going on the weekend). With my new work schedule, that means going right after work even though I prefer working out in the morning. I just try my best to make it apart of my routine and have given myself grace when I can't make it because it can be a lot to balance. Thank you for watching!

You seem to be glowing, hoping the move and new job is all going smoothly for you. Regarding the inventory if you are running low on stock whose job is to order stock?

Do you think you will always stay in surgical units? 10 hour shifts are nice in a sense but wow you start very early! When do you usually start your first case?
@ashleyeve6641Ай бұрын
That’s a great question! Honestly i’m not sure! I think in the future I want to do something different but i’m not sure what that is just yet. We do have such early starts😅 We usually start our first case around 6am (sometimes earlier). But we get there like an hour early to set up.

Hey I love the vlogs. I’m currently in my last stretch of nursing school and I have been heavily thinking about OR nursing but have been discouraged by professors and have rarely found anyone who works in the OR. What are the steps you believe one should take to get in the OR?
@ashleyeve6641Ай бұрын
Thank you so much!! I think if you are sure you want to work in the OR, then try looking for an OR residency when you start looking for jobs. These are usually found in the hospital. However, if you aren’t able to find an OR residency or aren’t sure if you want to work in the OR, I would honestly get some kind of hospital experience because it will be a great foundation for you as a nurse starting out. OR nursing is so different from normal nursing and you don’t get to understand medications and how to care for certain diseases processes like you would if you get hospital experience. You could work in the hospital for a bit and then try transferring into OR nursing. A lot of times they want to see that you’ve had some hospital experience before working in the OR. I hope this helps!

Omg I was so nervous! Surprisingly I didn’t need a permit or license requirement. It feels like you would need one! I only had the 10’ truck, so you might need one for the bigger trucks but i’m not completely sure.

What moving company did you use if you don’t mind me asking?
@ashleyeve66412 ай бұрын
I actually just used a Uhaul😅 I got the Uhaul in Colorado and used their out sourced movers to load my stuff into the truck. Then my family and I drove it back to Illinois and dropped it off. It wasn’t too bad. I didn’t want to spend too much on a moving company although I do love the convenience of moving companies!

Good luck with the move back home, I hope it all goes well! I can imagine it's very exciting. Do you need to relicense if you are moving to a new state or is your license interchangeable?
@ashleyeve66412 ай бұрын
Thank you!! I am very excited to be closer to family and friends back home! Some states that are known as "Compact" states have licenses that are interchangeable between states. However, Illinois is not a compact state so I had to get an IL nursing license. Thank you for watching and commenting!
