Not people making excuses saying it’s okay. The ages were not okay. A teacher and a student is bad, unethical, immoral. The only reason you can think it’s okay is bc yk their irl ages are very much legal and 3 years apart. after I watched gossip girl again after 12 years. I think it's only right that Serena and Dan end up together. For me, I can feel their love for each other more. Let's admit that their beginning as lovers in season 1 was really beautiful and thrilling until the ones who followed. well I understand the writer why Dan and Blaire were given a twist in the show as friends to lovers. to be honest, the presentation from friends to lovers is good, but their love for each other is not deep because when they became lovers after episode 17, they didn't seem to grow and then their characters didn't really match, so it was right before the end of the episode. 5 the story of Dan and Blaire is a bit of a strangle because it is no longer seen comfortably, instead you can see it in the reunion of Blaire and Chuck and Serena and Dan, so when season 6 enters, it is really right that the focus is on the main team up. The restart of Serena and Dan's story is also good because you can feel that they really love each other since they met.
