You should have a build off using the Wen vs Festtool and see how the builds go.

Again, BEGINNING woodworkers buy tools there. Nothing wrong with that. Of course, seasoned woodworkers and their tools are a different story.

A good carpenter can make great stuff with sh.tty tools. Actually expensive tools aid the beginner. Unfortunately beginners can't afford the expensive! For us the expensive is a go because we're getting lazy. Meaning, I want to get my cool stuff done without having to double, triple check everything!

Not gonna lie, the ad read was smooth, seamless, stylistically thrown in, and didnt interrupt the tempo of the video. Dunno if anyone cares, but I appreciate that.

When these things hit the consumer market some of the guys who bought them ran up the beaches on D Day. Two things come to mind. 1. Those customers were OBVIOUSLY far braver than their modern day brothers. A good example being ME @ 64‼️ However, If given the choice I'd take on this machine than a machine gun with a mental German of the day behind it. 2. With advancements in technology humans have had the luxury of time, experience and science to step back and take a second glance at the things humans make, how we use them and the consequences they have on us. This saw was obviously designed and made in the infancy of consumer revolution. You sure you don't have SPD❓ I do like watching the wacky 💩 you do but this vid did have me on edge even more than that other nutty Swiss army knife woodworking thing you messed with a while back. Sorry I forget its name being a 🇬🇧. We're not even allowed dado stacks to play with 🤬 let alone toys from Doctor Strange's toy box😂🤣😂

Lol I bought a WEN jig saw on a whim and I love the thing, it was dirt cheap and works great, love the lazer thing as well, seems gimmicky but it does help. Regarding routers, yeah don't cheap out, the Festool is definitely overkill for most people but Bosch and Dewalt both make incredible plunge+fixed base routers that will be perfect for 99% of people.

HF is good for tools with few or no moving parts. He should have run a lot more wood through the planer and table saw and the deficiencies would have shown up.

Ok the chainsaw tooth thing is for wood carvers who use chainsaws. Gives the same grain texture and look. Only place it shines. Otherwise if you cut a mildly fat branch that bitch kicks. And I mean kicks.

😅 I used a wobble dado for a day. Bought my own stack dado for the shop I was working for. The next week the boss went and brought them for the shop. Never used one since.

My dad used the rip cutting for plexiglass for years, it worked so much better than the table saw did for the huge sheets we used to cut.

I question the lug nut test cuz car lug nuts should be torqued to 80ft/lb and Sam said a typical lug nut should be torqued to 120ft/lbs which would most likely snap the bolt.

Only reason people return the packouts is because they found it cheaper somewhere else... My boss did it he bought one from a local HVAC supply house but found it cheaper on sale at Northern tools and dif yhe same thing

The kast technique ive done myself with proper equipment and ppe. I have made bear and tiger head burns using that technique it is not for the feint of heart because even with proper ppe i still ended up not checking the wires one day and now i have a slight twitch and i almost did die. It was just as painful as when i got electrocuted working with sticks welders while wearing wet gloves. Not fun at all and yeah never did it again.

Huh. Must have gotten lucky with a decent set of Forstner bits from HF. Used them to build a cradle. Unfortunately, however, I did not have a drill press at the time. I learned the hard way why you need one when using Forstner bits.

I have a buer drill from harbor freight and use it in automotive and fabrication industry and it works great only issue I had was the battery and chuck which you can buy bigger battery at harbor freight and put a home depot ryobi chuck on it and both issues fixed and it makes for a great drill after

This started off being very disingenuous. On the very first product you can see that it has 5,601 reviews and is at a 4.5 star rating. Picking and choosing one star reviews seems iffy to me.

It doesn’t take rocket science to make an inexpensive knockoff built using third world labor. As an engineer with many patents, I wish there was more done to protect our innovation. Our ingenuity is what made us the world leader. Understand not everyone can afford top of the line prices, but we do need to think collectively how to preserve our intellectual property advantage.

With measurement tool, it is like with women: As long as you stay with the one, despite not being perfect, it kinda works. But hell breaks loose as soon as you bring in other women. Seriously though, you can measure any length in candles, tyre width or profile depth, screw head thickness or whatever you want. As long as it is the same the next time you measure with it. It's called standardized measurement or agreeing on a base scale of how to measure things.
