When I first watched this short film I was in middle school and struggling big time to figure out who I was and accept myself. I noticed there's a lot of homophobia and transphobia floating around in the comments and I cant help but think what harm that would have done to middle school me years ago. So, if you are where I was then and your flipping threw these comments please know that things will get better. The internet brings out the worst in people and as you grow up you will slowly start to build a network of people around yourself who love and support you. Its okay to be unsure of your identity and it is okay to be something other than straight and cisgender. Where ever you're at in your journey, your feelings and struggles are valid and the rough patches will pass. I've been there, it will be okay.

I’m a nonbinary lesbian and my parents are highly transphobic so in haven’t told them anything. They just think I’m a bisexual female. I think my dad would show how homophobic he actually is if my mom didn’t force him to be a little supportive.

When I came put I felt like an imposter as I was THE FIRST one to come out in my whole family and when I went to family events and my family would tease me saying things like "you got a boyfriend yet" WHILE I HAD A PARTNER WHO IS NON BINARY and at that point on time I felt so much like an imposter and I just avoid the question but idk how much longer o can dodge it

still remember being a young kid, playing with monster trucks from my brothers. instead of barbies, i played with dinosaurs. my parents always thought i was just a tomboy, turns out i was trans. too bad they will never accept me.

I figured out I was bi at 10, which is VERY young. I had to learn to pretend so no homaphobic people would yell at me or anything. It was hard too because I don’t know that much people in the community near my area so it’s scary.
