Yes. It’s more common than you think. But you have to remember that a DTF is NOT pass/fail test. It’s only a diagnostic tool. I always tell guys to always do a DTF test because a return loss won’t necessarily catch a kink somewhere in the cable

Into any grounded box, mic cable or wire, that was a counterpoise, because the antenna does not satisfy resonance, so this becomes heat and current the microphone audio amplifier, voltage regulators, and rf final has to eat, while transmitting the current rf wave. That is really good VSWR's for an antenna not on an actual countepoise.

It is accidental BOSE tech, a wave being transmitted, gets nulled by a wave returning 180° out of phase, but the heat and current is still there. Also could strain the power supply and add ac hum to signal, or a feedback squeak.

Reflected power joins the forward power or the incident wave back to antenna and radiated by the antenna, it does not heat up your finals of your transmitter, or into any other cable or mic, your are misunderstanding common mode current with reflected power

I hooked up my cable to tester then cal now the max distance is 69.69 but my cable is a 150 ft cable

Max distance is calculated based on velocity of propagation, number of data points and frequency span. Solution is to increase number of datapoints and/or reduce frequency span. If you need further assistance, please contact our applications engineering group at [email protected].

A GPS antenna generally has a low noise amplifier (LNA) that needs power to operate. The SiteHawk cannot test a GPS antenna if it requires power. Generally, to test a GPS antenna you can test the current draw, usually somewhere around 25mA, to see if the LNA is operating. This is not a guarantee the antenna is good though. If there is a passive side to the antenna you can sweep it, but chances are it won’t. You can test the LMR400 and 600 cables leading up to the GPS antenna by disconnecting from the antenna and terminating with a precision load.

If you're wondering what the USB stick is connected to when copying the RF Meter app - it is connected to a USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable. This cable connects to the SiteHawk and the USB thumb drive. It allows copying files between the SiteHawk and USB thumb drive. 2. If you are asking what the SiteHawk is connected to after the RF Meter app is installed and running - it is connected to a USB OTG (On-The-Go) cable. This cable connects to the SiteHawk and the sensor. The particular sensor used in the demonstration is a 5018D WPS. You can see this in the upper left of the RF Meter app at 3:33 of the video.
