Dude! This video is exactly what i’ve been looking for; a aussie, 7 months in europe, living off of one bag. they only difference between me and you is i’ll still be a minor when i leave, i’m leaving in the first half of the year, and i’m an solo traveler haha! i’ve been looking at the osprey fairview (womens) 40L pack too so it’s so fulfilling to see someone else giving a tour of how they’re using it in exactly the same way! cheers mate.

Do you still like that pack... after the trip?
@ViktorHristovvvАй бұрын
Loved the video, but how the heck do you manage with just four t-shirts? I sometimes have to use three per day and I have a separate one to sleep in. Do you do laundry every one or two days?

Absolutely amazing. Hello guys I recommended you visit the himalayan mountains k2 and Nangaparbat view point from one place. Whenever you start a short solo trip of 4-5 days, Moses Peak is a must. It is a 5300m height۔ from the top of moses pea which you can see the views of the K2 world second highest peak in the world, Nangaparbat, K6 k11 and K 12 views in one frame. best time from May to October. This is a family tracked.its open Zone, one did not need a trekking permit or have to pay Royalty fee to climbed this Mountain tower

Thanks for sharing! Great review and intro! May I ask if it is possible to fit into Ryanair / Easyjet's luggage check box? I have a Osprey Kestrel 38L, and the back hard support material is too long 55-60cm to fit in, and not foldable.

Very Well done. We ( married couple 70s) have visited over 90 countries - and more to come - with a similar set up including using the Farpoint 40 and Osprey Daylite Plus. 8 kg in main and 3 kg in daypack. Since we want to have capability of not being noticeable in a 5 star location we confine ourselves to having black tops and pants and our walking shoes are all black. Easy to maintain clean and a classic look that goes anywhere. We do not look completely out of place anywhere. We are also big fans of merino wool and use that wherever possible. We also carry a. complete medical kit knowing it is inevitable to get sick i.e. stuff we are famikiar with in cold meds; ibuprofen; immodium; tums etc.

100% recommend the Farpoint 40 or any Osprey bag that is the right size for you. After 7 months the bag still looks brand new!

13Kg fully loaded? What happens if you fly with an airline that has a 7-10Kg weight limit? Also, what about bringing grooming tools that are prohibited to carry-on? Like scissors and tweezers?
@BeforeWeExpire5 ай бұрын
We mostly travelled with Ryanair who allows 10kg overhead bags and a personal item bag which is no weight limit. As for prohibited items, you’ll need a check on bag for them otherwise you can check the guidelines on things like scissors as you can still carry small ones

Im curious, why didnt you go with the 55L?, it comes with a detachable day pack. You wouldnt need that foldable day pack(which is neat)
@BeforeWeExpire5 ай бұрын
I liked having the foldable bag as most of the time I didn’t need to worry about weight limits and could easily fit all of my belongings into one bag. Having the 55l would have meant I would always be carrying two bags
@FakeJamesHolden6 ай бұрын
08:36 This body wash and Deo you can buy in Europe everywhere for less than 3 € (together). So I wouldn't carry them 😉

A pretty decent cost analysis Aidan, shows people where the money goes, I’m following a solo lapper on YT atm that’s spending that themselves with the barest of setups, esky only so probably not cooking as much, a 4 cylinder diesel and free camps six nights a week, but they did say they dont skimp at all.
@BeforeWeExpire7 ай бұрын
Thank you! It’s nice to know where it all ends up and that it’s possible to do the lap pretty inexpensively. Being able to cook our own food every night as well as splitting all of our car costs made it very cheap per person, so we didn’t skimp much either and never found ourselves not doing something (like a tour or boat trip). Currently travelling around Europe and it makes me realise just how cheap it is to travel around AUS 🇦🇺
