It just does it randomly as long as you do a power attack in 3rd person. No perks needed

From what I seen it also depends of what weapon your holding to get special animations I know if you have an unarmed weapon you can do a combo instead of just punching

Nope! If you just melee in 3rd person you have a chance to do knock down animations. Getting a gun melee kill has a chance to trigger an animation in both 1st and 3rd person.

Yeah. I love this mission for that reason in a sense. The somber music just hits hard when you realize that your Squadron is attacking this base because they want/need to. Not because you were ordered to.

I’m not too sure. I’ve seen a couple clips where people also survive crashes when they hit the bottom of their planes instead of straight on crash.

For those looking for a technical explanation, I suspect this is caused by frustum culling which in these games is used to allocate resources for animating creatures on screen, putting off-screen enemies in a limited-animating state which has a lot less framerate which in this case presumably allowed it to pass through the fog gate cuz of how fast it was going. This limited-animation state is also why the dogs sometimes seem to teleport.

Yep I’ve managed to lure a darkwraith once into the boss fight and he fights the Abyss Watchers. Took a significant chunk of the health before he was killed.

So this game basically makes the model of certain npcs disappear off screen until its shown on the screen again however the actual ai of the npc remains. And sometimes this system can be a bit "buggy". So when u looked away from the grhu it basically erased the model from the game which made the ai think it was on the other side of the wall so when the ai started walking towards u and was in ur camera view again. It showed up. This is also how the dogs in ds3 teleport. Their nit actually teleporting their just disappearing and reapearing on screen in a weird way. Hopefully this explanation helps. (❁ᴗ͈ˬᴗ͈)

This has to be extremely rare because I played through all of the games multiple times and don't recall this happening to me even once.

@@penatio Oh trust me it is rare. But it is alot more common in ds3 then any of the other games (Elden Ring its slightly common too but not to the extent). But it happens from time to time.

@@staomruel The regular grhu enemys with weapons dont have a grab. And as u saw in this very video the player was not grabbed neither did he preform a parry. So sadly ur guess is incorrect. If u like to understand more of what i explained in this original comment, I believe a you tuber by the name Zullie the Witch has made an entire break down video for this. I forgot what the video was called but if u look up "zullie the witch dark souls 3 dogs" u should easily find it.
