I offer this Mass for my special intentions that God will give back our land taken over by vandals, that He will take away all the ulcers and pain that my sister is suffering as soon as possible, for all souls in purgatory especially family members and forgotten souls Amen. Thank you Fr.Roger

Dear Father Mark, I live in Providence ,RI USA I love to listen to your Mass and your sermons every Sunday !! You are soo inspiring and uplifting !!!Also , the music that is chosen and the girls who play the guitar and piano o😅 are just wonderful and joyful!! I wish I lived in Ottawa!! Praise the Lord. Didn’t know if it was appropriate but I went into my “inner room” riding a bike to the beach and prayed Holy Mass and then I heard the first song of worship “Come just as you are to worship “ and that’s what I did!!! Don’t take a vacation from God. Feel better Father Mark. Forever grateful. ❤️🙏🏻💒💙🕊

Nice homily fr.Ken, but if God is our Father and if He loves us then what about pain, suffering and unanswered prayers? If God was our Father would not He spare us pain, sufferings and difficulties? Would not He answer our prayers? Jesus said that if we ask for something in His name His Father will grant it, but in reality this is not happening.Not for me, for people I know.

Jesus Christ suffered for us, if He wanted to He could avoid going through the crucifix. But He chose to embrace the cross to save humanity from sin and hell. Look at the lives of the Saints, did not they experience some sort of suffering? How do they respond to their suffering and adversity? Through patience, hope, and perseverance. They embrace suffering because they understand it produces holiness and shapes them into Christ. So embracing/bearing suffering from God can be like a ladder reaching higher towards heaven because it helps us imitate Jesus' calvary. Not because we deserve suffering (Jesus did not deserve suffering), but because God can use our suffering for his glory and to make us into his image. Here’s a response from Mother Teresa on her view of suffering: Mother Teresa ~ “Sorrow, suffering, is but a kiss of Jesus -- a sign that you have come so close to Jesus that He can kiss you.”
